Dissociatives DXM and Synchronicity

Hello friends!

I have been using DXM for almost 15 years as an entheogen because I have gotten shocking results from it in regards to the practice of magic and shamanism. I am a mystic and find it to be the most powerful tool in my psychonaut shaman kit. The primary benefit I get is synchronicity. It's profound on DXM (I get the same experience when taking higher than smart doses of Wellbutrin--which I don't anymore because those experiences were TOO REAL). DXM was far nicer to me in what it revealed to me than the existentially horrifying sugar free (non sugar coated) painful truths that the Wellbutrin trips gave me. I don't know if others have had that same experience with Wellbutrin, but mine was vividly clear.

The Universe speaks to us through synchronicity and I find it so easy to "converse" with the universe under the influence of DXM. I was wondering what other users could share with me about their experiences and if they had wisdoms and insights that I could benefit from. I will match each response with my own inputs. Ultimately I am trying to move myself to having these experiences without any drugs at all and I am having begginers success but there is much foot work left for me to master. Coming here is a next step in that journey. Thank you all!

I never found dxm to be particularly suited to any type of deep or spiritual thought.

I really enjoyed the body high and dissociation - it almost felt like being in a video game - I was also more confident and socially adept, which was very strange as an autistic person. It felt like I had some sort of .5 or 1sec precognition in conversations where I already knew where each person was headed with whatever they were saying ahead of time so I had ample time to formulate my response and it felt like I could guide the conversation wherever I wanted.

And this wasn’t just in my whacked out mind either! At least not *all* of it. I remember my friends being kind of bemused and at least one of them mentioned how I was able to be more witty and confident than they’d ever seen - while tripping hard off 600mgs.

Synchronicity however.. I’m not sure exactly what you mean? Perhaps some examples are in order?

Also I resisted opening with this because I thought it might be offensive but when I started reading your post I couldn’t stop imagining a Delsym diviner reading cough syrup stain patterns or a Robowizard using robotussin as a reagent to cast spells! But I’m really high

Im a high functioning autistic. I have noticed paranormal events happen sometimes when I'm on DXM that are witnessed by people who aren't high. Synchronicity is meaningful coincidence. When two events that have no connection to each other happen together in cohesion as if the Universe was showing you signs. For example, repeating numbers that have meaning and appear in unusual places.

i just want a source which doesn't have sorbitol

DXM is a dissociative anesthetic in the same drug class as ketamine, nitrous oxide and PCP. They modulate the NMDA receptor in the brain which may be why synchronicity-type epiphanies may seem more profound or noticeable under this class of drugs. I don't know if anything mystical is going on here other than that these substances will give the impression under the influence that synchronous events are occurring and so then they must be profound and meaningful. It can all seem so convincing and profound at the time but it could be just the way this class of drugs affects the brain. I used to as a teenager take heavy doses of DXM very regularly so I am aware of the mystical component you describe. Well it's even more so under the effects of ketamine so it leads me to believe it's just how this class of drugs manifests itself in our brains. (I've never had PCP so maybe those who have tried it can attest to having any meaningful synchronous events occur under the influence. (Or seemingly meaningful, it's because you're fucked up that you think something profound is going on. ) (Not trying to poo poo anyone's mystical experience here, I'm just saying I think the drug class and the fact it manipulates the NMDA receptors in your brain have something to do with it.)
 
there have been several experiences with DXM where i've had it all figured out, the meaning to life or why we're here. in those moments you see the pattern but once the effects wear off those moments become unclear or less important. personally a huge fan of disassociating substances, but stopped DXM once i got older and K was readily available.

it's all in our heads though i think. we are the ones that give meaning to the meaningless.
 
i won't be able to tell if dxm is destabilisng or not until i buy the gummy hard candy that tastes way too fucking sweet and --

it costs $10 aud a pack and it takes 2 packs to trip. 300-400mg i wanna say.

1 pack is less obviuos ur evolving n such.

I have been taking 300mg of DXM early in the morning for a week now. Ive used dxm over the years so im no stranger to it. But I was stuck in a life rut and thought maybe my old friend dxm would help me. I started micro dosing like 75mg and raised it every couple days. I take it like 5am so it carries me thru the day. I got up to 300mg and that seems to be the pocket dose.

I am also on Welbutrin 450mg a day. Ive realized these two blend well together. I also practice Vipassina(mindfulness) meditation. I find that when everything comes together, I find that synchronicity that has been mentioned. No more pushing or pulling. Thoughts cone and go. Sounds come and go. Everything seems to fit together. So idk if its mystical but I def feel a conscious contact with something. Its really hard to explain. Im not trying to find the meaning of the universe or anything. All I know is at these stable doses I see things differently. Like the vail is lifted off the mind. I have ADHD and do not take meds for that but this cocktail def helps me focus more. So there is many benefits to this experiment. I know I cant take dxm everyday steadily. I take breaks. I dont wanna blow out my dopamine and serotonin. But I found this thread and I could relate to it.
