Naltrexone/suboxone

So, I've been taking 8-16mg of suboxone every 5-10 days for 4 months. By the 7th day I would start to feel wd but I would take gabapentin to nullify it but usually would take another sub around that time.
I got 50mg naltrexone pills. I took 3.5mgs about an hour ago. My last sub dose was 16mg 4 days ago. I took about 4000mg of gabs along side the naltrexone.
My question is, I feel a little weird but I was expecting bad percip wd??? Do I need to take another 3.5mg of the naltrexone. I want to stop taking the subs permanently. I take them cause I refuse to do the street trash here in Maryland, that and im just done with that life. So I take the subs to catch a high.
Am I just getting lucky because of the gabs?? I do feel the percip in the background but nothing crazy. Should I take more? I want to get over this sub withdrawal fast. I took off work for 3 days

Interesting! So te using the naltrexone is supposed to speed up the WD process? I have not heard of anyone doing this strategy you are attempting. 16mg once a week seems like it would cause you to throw up. Keep bluelight posted!

Yes, it should speed up the process. I feel it more now. Took 3.5 more of the naltrexon. Rls worsening and hot flashes. But gabapentin is s miracle drug taken in high doses. Keeping the worst at bay

I am inspired by your courage and determination, Levi!

I have also thought of and partially attempted to do this. But I was too zealous and took an entire 50mg naltrexone pill while still on a substantial kratom habit after buperenorphine. The precipitated withdrawal was savage and I was worried I might pull a muscle from the restless spasming.

But the slow and steady approach might be much more sustainable! I have been wondering about how effective it may be to slowly increase naltrexone and steadily displace the opiates.

Please keep us apprised of your important efforts!

Damn you just gave me strength, thank you.
TMI is just had massive diarrhea lol...
RLS is bad but the gabapentin has nullified it some. I definitely would not advocate anyone to do this with a everyday habit.
However, my situation is weird. Once a week suboxone, isn't exactly crazy. But subs last so long in your system it still has caused me withdrawals. Wish I had never used an opiate all those years ago, but here we are.
I will keep you updated, thank you for the kind words. They gave me a second wind!!

Interesting to read this story! I take gabapentin daily and I get a slight warmth from it maybe? How is the withdrawl going Levi?
woke up feeling better actually, took 2 trazadones and slept for 6 hours. I'm telling you; gabapentin really helps with WDS. almost stops RLS completely.
Took another 3.5mgs 15 minutes ago, will update if it makes me feel worse. I'm hoping after taking 7mg yesterday WDS are almost done.
Still cold and hot and feeling kind of like impending doom lol. But almost zero RLS still. Took 2400mg gabs 1 hour before taking the naltrexon.
If you can sleep some during WDS and control muscle spasms, its almost tolerable.
Updating soon.

Oh, and I also take gabs daily. But at a low dose, 800mgs daily. It also gives me a slight boost of energy every morning for a few hours. At the doses I am taking it for WDS however, makes me drunk like.

Well boys, it's all over. Woke up today feeling solid. Still emotional, and bored with life... but physically fine. Took 13mg of naltrexone last night after the 3 doses of 3.5mg the day before. Felt no different after taking the large dose, and than knew it was almost over. Again, would not recommend this method for an everyday user without a doctor on hand. But for a recreational user, I think it's fine. But would recommend at least a day or 2 of abstinence before doing this method regardless of the drugs half life. With suboxone, I waited longer because it last in your system so long. All in all, im happy with the outcome.
Cheers

Where can you get straight Naloxone pills?? I assume a prescription, what do you say that you need them for??

Yes a prescription. And you can be blunt with your doctor and tell him. Or the safer route is tell him for alcohol addiction, which is another reason they're prescribed. I say safer because your doctor may be hesitant to prescribe it if he thinks you're on active addiction. Because the kind of wds it could induce could be dangerous. But for alcohol it's not. Me and my doctor have a long standing relationship however. They know I would never put myself in a dire situation at this point in my recovery.

But please, be careful i dont know your situation but do not take a pill directly after getting high, it could be very dangerous. If you want to pm me your situation I may be able to guide you through it

Thanks for the response. Ok, I thought that was how it worked- get a prescription for the Naloxone pills from your doctor.

Now that am remembering, I was on those orange small suboxone pills a while back, they gave me headaches so I got on straight bupe.

I'm not in active addiction, I haven't been actually since like 2017 when I got off of Methadone. 5 mg Vicodin that I was buying from a friend. I'd take like 5 or 6 at a time, which I know is such a miniscule amount haha. Maybe I was missing them due to being on the Methadone 4 years even though it is a full agonist. Embarrassing, but the last time I'd ever had a "real" opioid. That is what actually led me to getting on Suboxone the first time around, I knew that opiates were an issue if I had starting messing around barely after the Methadone was out of my system.

I was just curious is why I asked, so I won't be asking for it. The only reason I'd ever like to try Naloxone is that I have heard that it clears out buprenorphine almost instantly?? If that's true, then a person should be able to use the bupe in a recreational manner since it has such a long half life?? I have only found it recreational if I skip like at least a few days.

That leads me to the reason that I got back on bupe the second time. The reason for that might be even more embarrassing than my first. I had fully tapered off of bupe from 12mg and I was kinda proud of myself and all. I had a TON of extra Subutex pills, the 8mg Orange surfboards that I saved for an "every once in a while" type thing. When I found them, I had actually forgotten about them. With no tolerance I found buprenorphine extremely recreational, so can see where that led :mindblown:😂!!

Yeah, I use suboxone as a recreational drug as well lol... most people dont realize with little tolerance they give you quite a nice high. And it's safer than any street opioid. I was using them once a week and stopped for 4 days prior to taking the naltrexone, and still had minor to medium discomfort for 2 days but nothing insane. So keep that in mind if you ever do decide to take one. I believe it would wipe your receptors clean, that could lead to a nice high. But if you're using them daily you wouldnt be able to take a pill for at least a week or you would be in bad shape due to wds.

Since you brought it up, I have an admission. Since being placed back on buprenophine about 5 years ago and realizing that the longer you go the better it is, I would take it every other day. I met a girl a couple years ago who snorts it I have been doing that since then. I still stick to every 48 hours. I've tried doing it everyday, doesn't seem to work. Like right when I snort it on the days that I do, I feel it about instantly and I never have really felt it when I try it daily.

Weird thing is that I'd never really snorted anything in my life, a few times when I was super young and didn't realize that snorting Vicodin was bad haha. The times I had used tar was always smoking off foil, still miss that whole ritual so much.

What is the interaction between naloxone and alcohol (If any) --- uh asking for a friend on bupe -- that friend is me
