Outside of their legions of die hard fans, Queen don't get anywhere enough recognition or acclaim imho.

A couple of masterpieces that have gone down well this afternoon.



The build up is so good, and that guitar solo! Such an atmospheric track! Beautiful!

Gotta have me a bit of Queen from time to time. I'd say it was a guilty pleasure, but that would be a lie. Queen might not be regarded as a "cool band", but who cares, they have recorded and performed some brilliant music.

There is no guilt in the pleasure of liking Queen.

This band, Blind Guardian (who I've never heard of before tbh) cover Queen's classic track, Spread Your Wings.

I like it, it's more heavy and rhythmically punchy with the guitars, and drums, which sounds good to me.

If I had the ability to make a few more changes, or the means of communicating the changes to someone who does have the ability, then it could definitely become an awesome heavy rock track.

Way, way, way heavier than the Queen original.

Ah, so according to the @Perkins : Reborn test they do just make it into the 'cool bracket', all be it, at the bottom of the tier.

I guess Freddie's grandiosity, and them flaunting and boasting about their wealth, and being so apparently out of touch with everyday people, according to interviews and articles written by the likes of NME anyway, did them no favours.

And some of their music was not so good.
