It will make it easier to find what are usually the most informative threads about a topic and it will discourage the creation of new threads.

Some of those threads, date way too far back.
It will make it easier to find what are usually the most informative threads about a topic and it will discourage the creation of new threads.
Then, there is the issue of discouraging new threads. What, members can't put up new threads?

Besides are you going to do all that work?

I WOULD IMAGE; THAT HAVING A HUGE INDEX OF ALL THE MEGATHREADS WOULD, BE A SERIOUS PAIN IN ASS!
BASICALLY, REDOING THE SET UP OF THE BLUELIGHT SITE?

I see what you are saying. You aren't the first to think of that.

Ideas, and actually doing something like that, are two very different things.lol

Yeah, go through all the stuff on every topic, then organize it. Ah, no.

Even I can see the issues with that.

Besides, we need topics out front and center.
Things change, and so do laws and drugs.

Besides, having members make new threads, gives us more power and freedom.

If all you want is info, there are other websites. Don't use google, they are harder too find on there, if at all.

there's no reason any user could not create an index of all mega threads.

why not give it a go @red22 ? if it spans content from multiple forums it could live here in sth.

my experience with this kind of thing generally is that it's maintained for a short time and then it gets left behind, and becomes out of date...

Can you supply me with a list of the threads that have the most posts? Actually, two lists: one for open threads, the other for closed threads.
