I’m from China. I believe my experience allows me to answer most of your questions, and I’m also curious about how information bubbles differ between countries.

I previously worked with RCs in China. I briefly engaged in basic synthesis and abused a wide range of RCs. I’ve had direct contact with drug users as well as wholesalers. I made money, and I was also arrested, but avoided conviction (China’s regulation and enforcement around RCs is far more underdeveloped than you might imagine).

I think I can address most of the questions you may have, if you’re interested.
Clarifying misunderstandings is something I genuinely enjoy.

My English is not very good, so I used GPT to help translate this.

What RCs did you mainly work with? Which ones did you mainly abuse? And which ones were your favorites?

Did you ever synthesize any really uncommon or obscure drugs just for personal use or for specific customers?

你主要接触的是哪些遥控模型?你主要滥用的是哪些?你最喜欢哪些?

你有没有为了个人使用或特定客户而合成过一些非常罕见或冷门的药物?
I used to deal with OPCE, 3-MeO-PCPy, and thiophenyl amphetamines, until they were banned in China.

Because I had access to almost unlimited supply, I abused thiophenyl amphetamines pretty heavily—so much that once I built tolerance, they just got boring and I stopped using them.

I also abused QMBSP, which was probably the most obscure compound I ever had custom-made.

When you say thiophenyl amphetamines I assume you mean chemicals like:
Thiopropamine (1-(thiophen-2-yl)-2-aminopropane)
and
Methiopropamine (1-(thiophen-2-yl)-2-methylaminopropane)
?

How was QMPSB? Ive never seen any user reports on it but I remember the fluorinated derivative 2F-QMPSB appearing sometime around 2019/2020.

By the way what made you decide to quit drugs? Or are you still using?
I myself have been sober 5 years but I still visit forums like this due to my remaining interest/obsession with chemistry, pharmacology and drug culture. And the fact that I live vicariously through others experiences. Welcome to the forum by the way, always interesting to have people from all over the world on bluelight. 🙏🏼

I am wondering how you started working with RCs. Do you go into a lab and say "I want a job," or do you have to know people who work in the labs?

Welcome to Bluelight. It is always cool to get perspectives on drug use from countries outside the Anglosphere.

CAS 30433-93-3, 1-methyl-2-(thiophen-2-yl)ethylamine.

The vaporized peak is insanely high, but it drops off extremely fast. People keep chasing a second peak that doesn’t even exist, which makes it perfect for commercialization. As for the heart and blood pressure side effects? Nobody really cares.

QMPSB doesn’t work orally. It dissolves easily in acetone, so it can be mixed into a fragrance.

When I burned about 2 mg of the powder in a pipe, within three seconds I got that first-time synthetic cannabinoid feeling—very mechanical, but insanely fucking strong. Twenty minutes later, it was like nothing had ever happened.

I’ve kept enough TPA stock. When I’m at home, I might take a few hits occasionally; I never carry it when I go out. I don’t have that urge to rush home and get high. There’s no obvious
euphoria anymore, and no withdrawal either. I’m pretty sure I’m addicted.

I think this is the curse of being a stimulant wholesaler—you have to test the product on the spot with clients. Unless I retire, this curse is probably going to follow me forever.

A lot of the Chinese chemicals that end up being popular overseas are actually made by factory workers who don’t understand pharmacology at all. They just follow instructions. They don’t know what they’re making, and they don’t care.

If you want to get into the seller’s world, you need luck—and you’d better be prepared to get scammed, to lose money, or even to lose your freedom.

Especially in the stimulant market, I’ve seen how complicated human nature really is. Thankfully, I never deal with downstream retailers. When they’re cornered, they’ll do absolutely anything.

You have to keep this in mind: even though China is a major RC exporter, at least 90% of users can’t wrap their heads around one thing—‘If this stuff is that strong, how could it possibly be legal?’

Yeah. Other than the manufacturers, me, and my wholesalers, nobody really knows whether they’re breaking the law or not.

When I mentioned losing freedom earlier, I was talking about someone I know in the same line of work. He got arrested for selling a legal dissociative that had been cross-contaminated. The illegal substance was less than one-thousandth of the total, and he had no idea it was contaminated.

But in China, drug cases aren’t judged by purity—they’re judged by total weight. So yeah, legally, it’s no different from trafficking several kilos of meth.

He’s waiting for trial now. Maybe ten years, maybe twenty. I honestly don’t know. I wish him luck.

I have a friend from China and its kinda weird thats shes never smoked weed or anything. Atleast it would be in the west. She doesent think weed is bad or anything its just that itsd not a thing there

Yeah, people who use or even know about weed are mostly international students, or folks into hip-hop, rock, or electronic music. To some extent, they tend to be better educated, and some of them also use psychedelics.

But they’re what—maybe 5% of all drug users? I don’t remember the exact stats, but I’m sure it’s not any higher than that.

Almost everyone else uses meth.

Because of how strict the controls are: once you’re flagged as a drug user, basically any place that requires an ID can trigger a urine test. If you test positive for the third time, you get sent to mandatory rehab and lose two years of freedom—not prison, but still pretty brutal.

RCs only started forming a real market in the past few years, for a simple reason: they can pass standard drug tests.

is the mandatory rehab a “mind control” facility or thought reform facility.. please only answer if it’s safe for you to do so.

I m curious that how much money can you earn through synthesizing research chemicals? As far as i know, dozens of milligrammes could be marked the price of 29usdt per capsule.

There’s really no need to sugarcoat it. I was in there for a few months, and my family pulled some strings to get me out under “medical parole.”

If I think about it, it was basically like a prison with looser supervision and better food. You could order cigarettes and all kinds of decent snacks and drinks. No forced labor—every day was just sitting around, watching outdated TV shows, or reading. No phone, though.

Oh, and you were allowed to smoke one cigarette in the bathroom every hour.

Still, it was pretty miserable.
btw:Mind control and brainwashing are total conspiracy theory stuff. When I was inside, someone had even managed to smuggle in meth, lol.

Take OPCE for example. Back then, I paid someone to make 12 kilos for about $140,000.

I then sold it to distributors in batches for roughly $410,000.

They would dilute it 7–8× into vape liquid, then wholesale and distribute it downstream. The final retail price was around $40 per 125 mg/ml, and the really hardcore users were going through 2–3 ml a day.

Along the whole chain, my cost was about $11 per gram at the source, but by the time it hit retail, the effective price was over $300 per gram.

Everyone in between was splitting roughly a 2,600% profit margin.

Would it be hard to find someone willing to synthesize a controlled substance, like methaqualone, or a prescription substance, like bupropion?

in China, methaqualone is controlled almost the same way as meth.
Bupropion is prescription-only, and selling it without approval is illegal.

can you explain why china, a country that despises all drug use, doesn't have an analogue act to prevent the use of research chemicals.

is it just "follow the money" that they get kickbacks financially from the rc industry?

so much cognitive dissonance.
