Heroin How long should you hold in H smoke?

I know for weed it takes about 3 seconds for everything to fully absorb into your lungs but not too sure on other drugs, is there any information on this about H? I've tried having a look on here and various other sites but haven't had much luck. Thank you!

Never done it personally, but here is what the Martindale says... FWIW

"The pharmacokinetics of inhaled diamorphine fumes ("chasing the dragon") has been studied in diamorphine addicts receiving substitution therapy with diamorphine and methadone. Absorption through the lungs occurred very rapidly and was virtually complete immediately after inhalation; bioavailability was estimated to be about 53%.
