OK so just a quick little history on myself and my drug use and then Ill get into my question, I'll try make it as quick as I can anyway.
OK so I was a very heavy heroin and benzo user for many years but over the past 4 years I have been on the methadone program and because of that for the last 2 years almost I have not gone back near any other street opioid and I have reduced my old dose of 45mg on Xanax a day down to now just taking 0.75mg per day and I have reduced my methadone liquid from 110ml to now just taking 35-40ml per day.
But over the past year I have been having some major complications with my back and shoulders witch has left me in agony pain for many months now and just been getting worse.
I was worried to ask my GP for strong painkillers though since due to my history, I felt they might of been thinking I was just script shopping but my new Doctor is the best doctor ever and so understanding.
I did tell him about my worries of not been able to get a painkiller to work for me though since the Methadone has my opioid receptors blocked and I have a crazy high tolerance to anything I ever take.
So I have also been prescribed clonazepam 0.5mg at night and Arthrotec witch is an anti-inflammatory and a gastrointestinal drug since I suffer with pretty bas stomach issues too for most my life.
But basically what I am asking is what kind of doses should I be taking to stop or at least give me some major relief since I have been on methadone for so long and still have a huge drug tolerance regardless.
I am not looking to get 'super high' or anything like that. I just really want this pain in my back to give me a break because over this last entire week I have only slept for 3 hours after every 50 hours awake. Like I havnt slept even a minute for the last 40 hours so far this time and I probably wont go to even try sleep for another 8-10 hours since its very early here now and if I can get to sleep I wanna be able to wake up in the morning instead of falling asleep in a couple hours from now and then be wide awake again before its even 8pm in the evening so I am sick of doing that....
Been looking at these forums for years now but just made my first account today so I could ask a question lol.
TLDR; Will I still get pain relief from Oxycodone even though I am a long term Methadone user?
Thanks in advance
