That's right. It is a automatic felony carrying jail time. Beware. I am willing to bet cops will be posting up outside/near of smoke shops waiting make examples out of someone. Also anyone that has active 7-OH in the mail to their home is subject to arrest as well.

I am sure over the next few weeks going into Jan. 1st 2026 many other states will be following suit. I suspect MAT in Ohio will pick up some business and/or illicit opioids will gain traction as well.

I am wondering how many lawyers will pop-up out of the wood works accepting clients for class action law suits against the companies that have flooded the market.

My link keeps getting rejected.

So these motherfuckers are going to ruin not only their own businesses but likely Kratom as a whole because they wanted to make money off of the most vulnerable people they could find. Goddamn. I´ve been outside in the cold off and on trying to fucking survive for two weeks. People with shelter, cars and I´m sure, strip club and Coke money are willing to re-fuck an already very much raw and over-fucked population just so they can have more. I would say I´m disgusted, but much like working at a meat processing plant, if you see it every single day, it doesn´t give you that same nauseous feeling. Maybe it feels good, because at least I know in the chaos of this world where nothing is guaranteed, it´s guaranteed that people will knowingly ruin lives for money to buy shit they don´t need. Then they blame those people for their problems.

Who makes these fucking people? Am I the only person who had a Mom who taught me it was wrong to hurt other people for personal gain? There are people in this world who truly fit the definition of evil. It´s a total disregard for human life, done willingly and with gusto.

As said in another thread, Kratom at first was an ultimately negative thing in my book. I saw it as a drug that could be ordered in limitless amounts, allowing people to develop large tolerances unchecked. Over the years, I have changed my stance. Doctors have, once again, done what was best for them personally in not prescribing Opioids, even to people who very clearly need them. They would rather keep themselves safe and simply not prescribe. They will do literally whatever the pharmaceutical companies tell them to do. We ave proven through litigation that the government will protect these criminals, as the government is criminal itself.

Addendum

After reading the actual document, I´m seeing that they are only banning products that are not ¨exclusively composed of Mitragynine¨. I suppose that is a positive spin on this whole thing. However, I am worried by the fact that 7-Hydroxymitragynine and potentially other analogs thereof are contained within Kratom naturally, even if in very small amounts (relative to mass that is, 7OH is so much more potent than Mitragynine that even a relatively small amount has an impact on the effects of the drug). As we know from the Poppy, mutations can occur due to numerous environmental variables that can lead the poppy to produce latex containing different analogs of Morphine that are typically not seen. Don´t quote me on this, but I believe poppies can produce, for instance, Hydromorphone and similar substances in addition to variables also affecting the levels of Morphine/Codeine in the latex.

With all of this in mind, it would seem that this bill could easily pivot to a full ban of Kratom using the language that they have already put out to the public. I think that is suspicious. I´m not the resident expert on Kratom. I´ve never even used it, yet I know these things. The person writing this bill didn´t feel like Googling it?

Fuck Ohio BoP but the more states and the feds schedule things that are so obviously harmless, the less respect for laws regulating substances there will be. Weed is Schedule I. No one cares most places.

DeWhine wanted a full kratom ban but apparently big farm and AKA both paid enough people off to meet in the middle for now.

As soon as the government sees people online talking about a legal high they are going to come for it. No surprise really
And NDEWS and the like are looking here and on social platforms to 'sound the alarm.' It's all about that sweet grant moneh.

Indeed. The government is a stick in the mud.

Get it through your big (and little) heads. Because they're coming for your dicks, next.
Indeed. I fully understand. They tax the shit out of US so hard that most can only focus on the next check. They do not disclose where our tax dollars. If we do not disclose where our money goes, we are subjected to prison.

I will borrow that one for sure.

Evil with a capital "E" and controlled by demonic forces with a capital "D"

Plants can do some wild things when their environment is infected by certain bacteria or other stresses take place.

Hydromorphone does not require synthesizing Thebaine (Codeine methyl enol either) as a starting block. This is how Butorphanol, Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Hydrocodone, and Naloxone are synthesized. Oripavine is a major metabolite of Thebaine.

(1) A natural Biological Synthesis: Specific bacteria, such as Pseudomonas putida serotype M10, produce an enzyme called morphinone reductase. When these bacteria live in a solution containing morphine, they can naturally convert it into hydromorphone as an intermediary metabolite.

(2) Hydromorphone is typically synthesized by treating Morphine with a catalytic agents like alcohol, platinum or palladium black, hydrochloric acid, and hydrogen gas.
German Patent 380 919 discloses a method for synthesizing hydromorphone, by treating morphine with a catalytic agent (e.g., platinum or palladium black), hydrochloric acid, and hydrogen gas. The reaction mixture is then heated to 60 to 90° C. under a water pressure of 30 cm. Scientific term is "direct isomerization."
