Well its pretty self explanatory from the title. I have been on Gabapentin on and off throughout this year 2025 going back to around April. I am not using Gabapentin for any medical reason, I just really enjoy the effects and out of all of the drugs I have tried, few give me the feeling that gaba does. Usually drugs have some type of trade-off for their "high", whether it be constipation, sleep issues, mood swings, loss of motor function. Well for me Gaba offers all of the pros of a drug, and quite literally (so far) none of the cons. I usually use 4 days on during the week and 3 days off. As of about a month ago, that went out the window and I have just been taking my dose everyday. I usually start with 600 mg in the morning, and throughout the day will redose every couple hours until around 6pm and by that time, I'm generally pretty loaded. I never go over 3000 mgs (not looking for a cookie, I know there cannot be no consequence to this large of a dose on a daily basis). My average daily dose is more like 2,400 mgs. (8 300mg capsules spread out thru the day). Well I ran out before my next refill, and so far I am 36 hours in cold turkey. I was filled with anxiety and nervousness leading up to not having any, anticipating some horrific withdrawal symptoms, and much to my surprise; nothing. And I mean nothing. I just feel stone cold sober, but not depressed, no restless legs, no sleep disturbance. At least yet, but still. I have read several reports from different sites online where people feel W/Ds as early as 12 hours after their last dose. I have been on a pretty hefty dose for over a month, without breaks, and I am relieved but shocked. How is this possible? Are there just some people who do not experience W/Ds from Gabapentin? Any input / experience here would be much appreciated
