I have two Bisoprolol [a beta blocker]. The pills come in the doses 1.25mg, 2.5mg, 5mg and 10mg. The one's I have are 5mg.
They're slow-release, designed to last 24 hours, but I think taking half a pill and chewing very thoroughly to make it instant-release would be the most effective.

Anyone taken beta blockers for this reason before? I'm thinking the fact that they both decrease heart rate and lower blood pressure would be good? Currently my heart rate is 131bpm and my blood pressure is 120/122, so seems like I could do with taking some either way?

Are you having any symptoms of heart problems? Because if you are you should probably go to an accident & Emergency (A&E)
