I have 4-aco-met that's moderately dark grey/green, 4-ho-dpt that's dark beige, 4-ho-mipt that's dark grey.... Would you trust it? Is the potency a lot lower? Sorry if this kind of question has been asked already but I couldn't find the answer. The bags cam with pin point holes.
 
I know grey 4-aco-dmt means its a shit synthesis - the real stuff is white - no nausea with that. With the grey shit you are sick as a dog. Dunno if the same rule applies to the others
 
From what I read, 4 sub tryptamines commonly become brown over time, sometimes even becoming a thick goo. Most accounts I read don't suggest this change is accompanied with a loss of potency, certainly my 4-aco-dmt has become darker over the last 4 years but seems every bit as potent as when I got it.

As with all drugs it's possible there is a purity issue from the outset which may explain Ismenes experience.
 
My letter obviously got damaged and even the bags holding the product had pin point holes in them. There's areas right next to the pin point where moisture obviously got in but the rest of the powder shows no sign of having been wet. Apparently the rest was still exposed to oxygen and/or moisture in the air even if it never directly touched liquid water. That letter went through a rough time to get to me.

While I have a thread of my own, can anyone tell me about 4-ho-dpt? I've heard it's super heavy, somatic, and like being in a sacred temple. 4-aco-met is playful, stoned, and colorful for me like an indica meets shrooms with lots of pretty colors. And 4-ho-mipt has an energetic shroom phase followed by stoned, tactile, introspective, body high.
 
Discolouration indicates they been stored for a while ? Assumeably semi dark/ cool and dry condition. My aMT did Yellow a bit more but still smell s. It s coming upwhile typing.
Smelly stuff.

The 5-Meo-DIPT lost the vibrant pinkish hue.
But t s still potent checked a few year s ago. Glassware silica in the fridge.
Is the best spot most probably. That IT from 290 must refer to the smell btw.

Even the bk-2C-B carry s it, but besides the plastic bag/ especially the glue on the sticker degrading. The powder is still White as it was. Beta-Ketones as this assumed to be unstable. So this could just aswell be a bunk product. Never worked for me.

But the aMT and 5-Meo-DIPT were the real shit. First RC s bought 25 + year s ago

I *just* had a trip with my 4-AcO-MET that I've been keeping out of my cold storage for probably a couple of years - it had gone very grey (originally it was pure white), I'd describe it as a bluish kind of grey. It had no problems and no noticeable drop in potency. I would trust them.

The holes in the bags are too bad, you should put those bags inside another bag or jar, along with oxygen absorber and silica gel packs to help reduce further degradation. I keep my materials in the freezer for long term storage, but you have to be careful about attracting condensation moisture when you pull it out of the freezer, so you need to wait until it comes to room temperature before opening the sealed container you keep it in.
 
I believe moist air will allow N-oxidation to take place. At least with DMT, a pure white sample would degrade over several months unless stored under dry nitrogen (or other inert gas). I would assume that same N-oxide would form with other derivatives and colour is a product absorbing a specific frequency (or frequencies) or white light. Human vision is only sensitive to quite a narrow range so I can understand why an N-methylethyl (for example) may end up a different shade upon oxidation.

I don't think it takes a lot for discolouration to occur but I think the important thing to know is that no subjective alterations were noted in the case I mention. I cannot confirm any others.
 
This is super helpful. I'll just do my exploration as I planned at the planned doses. I also have proscaline but it looks beautiful, no issue there. I have moxy on hand too so I'll do 8mg moxy with 25-30mg 4-mipt. It's an amazing flip experience. Moxy at sub 10mg doses is everything I wish mdma or benzofurans were without the hangover, I love this stuff alone and in combos.
