Cannabis for Anxiety

Weed can be a decent Anxiolytic and a sedative but dont use it as a wheelchair for your problems. Use it as a aid for when you really need it, and overconsuming weed can easily make you make your more stressed especially with THC thats potent and same can be said about using to for sleep as it could lead you to relying on it just to go to sleep. IIRC chronic use can reduce the quality of the sleep as it can make deep rem sleep shorter. Indica is a good start but you really want to look out for the terps within the strain.
 
Solely Cannabis usually causes unpleasant anxiety almost always..so after smokin' weed must pop diazepam or drink beer or two.....or got pods...then combo is just perfect....a real antianxiety cocktail
 
So I got back into marijuana. It's called Ayerloom calm. NY. So I buy at dispensary. I believe it has a fair amount of CBD in it which helps prevent panicky highs but I also feel like it blunts the good feelings too. It must be doing something because I'm hitting it every night lol.

One interesting observation. It makes me dizzy and nauseous when I smoke too much. I never used to get that with actual weed.

I get that too. Doesn’t matter what kind of weed, if it’s too much I’m sick to my stomach. I don’t remember that happening when I smoked as a kid.

I hardly use concentrate and will go long periods between uses, sticking to flower in between. I went to a dispo one day and they had 7g of wax on sale for $30 so I said fuck it why not. It wasn’t very good, obviously. I’d only ever bought single grams and had always eyeballed a dab based on that amount, when I tried to do the same with this shit, I ended up with probably .3-.5g in one hit and spent the first half of the night trying to hold my heart still with my hand, then the rest of the night puking my guts up. One of the dumber mistakes I’ve made, but I felt better by the next evening.
 
Gey a good strain for you as a person sorry I mean person you be good have a spliff the European way rather then us joint it gentle and better this from a dual national
 
Yeah I mean there’s always a price. Cannabis is pretty damn “cheap” for a lot of people though in that sense. The tolerance is going to happen, but if you’re looking to avoid that as much as possible, keeping it at night time only does a lot. I use a dry herb vape and go through maybe .1-.2g of flower a day and it’s been like that for a long time, mostly without diminishing returns. If you’re using it for sleep, adding CBD/CBN as some others have said is a really good idea as they work with the THC, and are really just calming and sleepy as a whole, rather than psychoactive the way normal weed is.

Thanks for that tip. I'll look into getting a strain with higher CBD/CBN.

I do use it only in the eve to get to sleep. Happily, I've discoved that, if I take it earlier, I don't need as much. It really does take a good 2 hours for the relaxing/sleepy effect to kick in.

I never use it other than to induce sleepiness. That's because I never have gotten any euphoria out of cannabis. If it didn't work wonders at getting me to sleep, I'ld have no use for the stuff. It never alleviated depression for me. For creating a mood boost, I always found alcohol far superior. Alcohol used to ease anxiety for me. In recent years, I've had a stomach ulcer that alcohol aggravates, so I drink way less.
