Pharmacology How long is an extra fentanyl patch going to show up on blood drug test?

I just realized I missed my pain management appointment yesterday and I was supposed to have drug testing that day. Coincidentally I also applied an extra fentanyl patch Because I was coming off a 3 or 4 day bender of depression staying in bed and sleeping non-stop Just continuing to take extra ambien to keep sleeping. So come Monday or Tuesday I'm going to have to call my doctor and explain that I did not realize I missed my appointment and to make another appointment. My question is how long is my system going to show elevated fentanyl metabolites? They always run blood drug test. I don't know what actual test they use other than they draw blood to do it. My doctor blood drug tests me every 2 weeks and watches the trend I'm sure. I don't usually double up on these patches, but I'm only getting 50mcg every 3 days I'm miserable and looking forward to a pain pump

He test for the metabolite levels and I'm sure he watches the trends, they post the trends for us.
