What Are You Munching On? v. Best. Tatties. Ever. <3

I don't mind beans at all. I just don't like British baked beans. Sugary, stodgy tomato sauce hell.

Once again - you can't argue with the fact that every market and supermarket stacks them high and sells them fast. I'm not suggesting that there is anything wrong with not liking baked beans, but it's not some obscure kink. It REALLY is one of the most popular foods. I strongly suspect cost is a significant issue.

Oh f**k, it's 12.50 AM and I forgot to eat. Still, it's not like I'm exactly sylphlike so not a problem.

Salted caramel whey shake and a beef steak grilled to blue to rare with mint sauce black peppercorns grinded and a sprinkle of mixed herbs , I don't usually have mint sauce on beef but it was not bad, rather tasty in fact

Bloody lovely ❤️

Except the crackling. Totally borked that unfortunately :!

No mash, no roast potatoes, no carrots, no broccoli, no kale. Jesus man, if you need a tenner just say.

Two roasties there on the plate, broccoli mixed in with the green beans, daughter won’t eat cooked carrots so skip em, kale is rancid, mash is always an option but double spuds is too much for a midweek meal - maybe for Xmas or summat.

But about that tenner…

Just had my standard homemade daily breakfast of three soft boiled peppered smashed eggs in a baguette with mayo and an instant coffee

stir fried chicken chunks with onion, bell peppers, carrot, potato, pineapple tomato garlic and spring onion over rice. Got some msg and stock and oyster sauce in the background of it

i think this is mrs jackals default meal to cook; it shows up at lunch a few days of the week with sometimes more and sometimes less veggies and sometimes we swap the meats around also

Aldi Specially Selected Chicken Jalfrezi.

It really is very good! And low fat.

I also just changed the container I use to habitually measure rice and water portions and ratios. To something about 2/3 of the size that I was previously using.

I was just making the portions of rice far too big previously.

Basmati rice is delicious but no need to eat so much of it.

Btw the best supermarket curry I have found so far is the Asdsa Bom Bahia Garlic Chicken Balti. It's quite expensive, but still less than half the price of the best of authentic Indian takeaways, and tastes almost as good. But I'll be having one of those some other evening.

Roast beef, jasmine rice, gravy, baked beans and papaya salad (Thai blazing)
