techniques to breaking up really hard chunks of coke

any good ideas to break up ounce-sized chunks of coke that are really really hard to break up? i've thought about pounding it with a hammer, but it will splatter all over the place. anything to wrap it in perhaps that would keep it from shooting all over???
 
mortar and pestle. i swear this works like no other. I like how I can crush up a sustained release dexedrine in no-time, it's as powdery as you can get. better than a pill crusher.
 
when i have large chunks to break up i usually use a freezer bag and a 5-pound weight....freezer bags are generally thick enough that you cant break them, and the 5 pound weight is just enough to break up really hard chunks
 
I like what pimpsta said about the freezer bag, I never thought about that, and it seems like it would help being thicker and all. I have had problems trying to crush stuff using a bag and hammer before, the bag always ended up ripping...but the more I tried the best way I found is like this (other than getting a mortar and pester like dr rolls said. Look around here there was just a post about mortar and pestles and where to obtain, etc.)...
Put it in a bag (a freezer bag like pimpsta said), lightly tap it to break into smaller pieces. When you have a good amount of smaller pieces, I then use a credit card to go over it and break it smaller. If you keep using the hammer on it the bag will eventually rip and it will spill everywhere from the holes you made. So that's why it's good to lightly tap or tap just hard enough to the point where you can get smaller pieces to work with using the credit card.

If you want to get it down to powder buy a metal wired strainer. The kind most people have in there kitchen. Then just brush it against the strainer & you got fine grainulated powder. If you want smaller rocks a razor blade is always best but sounds like your shit is hard as a rock. Usually that's because it has been
re-rocked. Go to the hardware store & buy a real small balltine hammer & put it in a ziplock freezer bag. Don't hit it to hard or you'll but the bag open...
 
man... fuck all that bullshit.heres my method.
need:
20 0z bottle
a coffee cup
put the rock in the middle of the bottom of the coffee cup, take the bottle upside down(have cap on it) and just press till you here it bust,and you can grind it if you wanna go ahead and make it powder there.the coffee cup is deep enuf so that nothing will bounce out.

You're the same age as my oldest son. It's interesting you wondered what the people are doing now. I actually thought about making a thread for some of the old-timers to kinda share their stories if they wanted to. I'd like to know how different things are back in the 60s and 70s. What they did with their lives. Etc. I think that'd be an interesting topic

For er dillies i used hydromorph contin wrapped in paper and a 10lbs steel weight

The sharp end of a utility knife is good for breaking any chunk smaller than a few ounces down into smaller chunks. It does make a little bit of powder fall off though which isn’t ideal if you intend to pull a capitalism with your coke. People like the larger fishscale chunks. You can always just save the powder that falls off for personal use though.

If you’re trying to break large chunks up into powder to consume however a lot of people stick it in a ziplock bag or sandwich baggie and zip the baggie closed and smash the outside of the baggie with something hard like a hammer. That is not great imo because the bag almost always gets holes in it and that spills perfectly good coke. The best thing to do is to bag it up and smash it like that but do it inside of a Tupperware container so any powder that spills out of any tears in the bag is contained. When you are done smashing it all up transfer everything into a new baggie by just pouring the powder in the smashed up bag and the Tupperware container out onto a piece of clean paper while curling the sides of the paper up into a u shape so that you can use the paper as a funnel and that makes a great way to keep the powder from going everywhere.
