The price of benzos has gone up loads, especially over the last year or 2.
They aren't cheap any more! Thankfully I'm not boshing huge amounts on the daily as I'd be bankrupting myself.
Weed still seems cheap though, although there has been inflation as I remember when an eighth of hash was £15 back in the early 90s, (IIRC) and I presume weed would have been around the same price. I'm now paying around 3 times as much for an eighth of weed, but it does go a long way, and lasts me a long time. It's strong and I don't use much, so it seems like good value to me.
Maybe you're just lucky that your drug of choice hasn't gone up much.
I was just watching something on youchube yesterday about inflation, and that was saying the start of the new tax year every April is traditionally when a round of price increases gets rolled out over many goods and services in the UK.
With the rate of the price increases of so many every day household items over the last ten - 20 years or so, I might have stockpiled the fuck out of everything that doesn't have a sell by date, if only I'd known what was going to happen. Wage increases have not kept up with the increase of the price of goods and services by a long shot, over the last 20 years or so. I've never earned a lot of money, but used to feel I could comfortably afford to live and have some luxuries, and manage to save / invest a bit too. Over recent months I've not had anything left over, after buying everything I need.
