Poetry TINA (Turner)

First time we smoked Tina in the park one of the other guys called it "Ike".

Later, this same person was found in the same cruisepark OD-ing on Tina.

In hospital, the doctor there told him he'd die if he continued to inject it.

Ike indeed.

Damn, that's rough.

The Ike thing is pretty funny in relation to my post.
I don't think I've ever heard of someone OD-ing from it but then again, I guess if you inject it, that changes things.

Here in The Netherlands only gays call it 'Tina', and I guess it's mostly gays that use it.

Interesting. Well I mean, it's certainly not just gays that use it as far as I've gathered. I mean, it's a huge "problem" in the US and Australia.

That's why I wrote the "Turner" part in that little poem of mine because, well... a lot of users get pretty wild on it, so much so that a straight individual "turns" (Tina Turner) when they use it :)

You made a great poem.

I've been watching documentaries about meth in the U.S. in Oz for years. Up until a few years ago 'experts' were convinced their wasn't any meth in The Netherlands and even now I am still to meet the first non-gay non-bi meth user here.

Really? I know it's super popular among the gay crowd (for obvious reasons) but I've never thought about it as a "gay" drug. I've only done it a handful of times but when I did it, all my friends and the people around us were straight. Sex and meth go hand in hand, for sure, but I've seen couples that specifically use it for extended sexual sessions and I can vouch for that, meaning that having sex while hitting the ol' pipe is a whole other dimension in and of itself. I even knew a couple that would plan weekends basically a few times per year where they just have a wild and amazing time together. It's incredible, unlike any other "sex on drugs" experience I've ever had.

Regardless of sexual orientation, it's definitely a fun time ;)

In The Netherlands it has been almost exclusively used by gay men.
