Benzos Diazepam didn't work :(

I think I'll stick to the Zopiclone/Promethazine combo because it works and I'm only going to take it infrequently and occasionally to keep it effective. Also I think I should tell you guys the other meds I'm on...

Oxycodone IR 30mg x4 daily (120mg/d max)
Pregabalin 150mg x4 daily (600mg/d max)
Mirtazapine 45mg nightly
Hyoscine HBR 250mcg twice nightly (500mcg/d max)
Promethazine 50mg nightly PRN (NEW)
Zopiclone 7.5mg nightly PRN (NEW)
Diazepam 2mg nightly (discontinued/depleted)

Now your probably thinking why on earth do I need a sleep aid after taking all those meds I'm on. I often ask that question and I think it's all down to tolerance. Crazy right?

PS: Please stop sending me DM's asking to buy my meds, and stop asking me which doctor is prescribing my meds. Also if your a US citizen then look at my country of origin. Thank you.
Goddamn may I ask what condition(s) youre dealing with currently?

The Oxycodone is for a particularly painful peripheral neuropathy condition I've got in my left arm, I've had multiple surgeries to try and correct it but to no avail and in fact the surgeries made it even worse. The Pregabalin is for the same condition to augment the Oxycodone. I'm also taking the Pregabalin for generalized anxiety disorder so it's acting like a stone which kills two birds sort of thing. The Mirtazapine is for my major depressive disorder and insomnia (it's stopping working for my insomnia a long time ago). The Promethazine and Zopiclone is to be used occasionally for when my insomnia gets really bad. Oh and the Hyoscine is to stop night time drooling while asleep (disgusting right?). I think that's pretty much it, thanks for asking :)

Seems like youre going through a rough time right now. Not medical advice but how do NMDA antagonists affect your pain? I remember reading about some dude using 3-MeO and said it worked better than any opioid for him. Maybe Memantine could be a viable option for longer duration and lower sides (again not medical advice).

10mg Diazepam is what you need to experince some nice effects, and improved sleep from diazepam. It roughly equals 0.5 Clonazepam which delivers exactly the same. Ask doctor for 0.5mg Clonazepam, as it is more effective and likely.

Thanks for the advice but there's no need to do that. I've already found a very effective combo in the form of Zopiclone and Promethazine. Those two drugs taken together really knock me out, maybe even too much lol. BUT after a few days of use I'm already starting to notice they're becoming less effective (tolerance) so I'm not going to take them for bit now maybe 5 days which is the sensible thing to do.

Yeah you could say that and it's tied into my mental health tbh. I've never taken an NMDA antagonist, are you talking about Ketamine and PCB and the like?

Yes sir, drugs like ketamine and the PCP analogs. However I would stay away from those since they are neurotoxic, memantine is probably a better option and might make you able to reduce your opiate dose at the cost of making you a bit dissociated. Might be good for anxiety, overthinking, ruminating OCD etc though.

Ive seen people doing ketamine infusions for neuropathic pain in multiple sclerosis and reporting pretty decent relief

Yesterday I took all of the remaining tablets which equalled to 9mg and again it did absolutely nothing, I feel really disappointed! Now that I've got the Promethazine I'm going to put it to use. I've got a feeling the Promethazine is going to have a better effect than the Diazepam when it comes to insomnia. I'll report back tomorrow.
promethazine is weak you need codiene lots of to make it work magically

That sounds quite promising! How would I get a prescription for Memantine?

That's a good point about Ketamine. Man that stuff can do wonders for lots of conditions sleep included. The sleep it induces is kinda lucid though and requires large doses for anesthesia like sleep. Anyway Ket, MXE and PCE derivates did wonders for me psychologically. Technically Zopiclone is good but short half-life leaves more to be desired. I never found Benzos to be that effective for sleep. Okay maybe Etizolam can help sometimes, like the Thienodiazepines are lighter but better for sleep.
Overall best sleep medicine is Phenobarbital (LUMINAL), 100mg at night gives you solid deep sleep that lasts, it does not have tolerance issues and does not cause dependence issues to same extent as Benzos. I personally use Amobarbital (Amytal) at night sometimes. Interestingly the shorter acting Barbiturates have a very Oxycodone like effect, a sense of absolute well being and comfort. Pheno is heavier and even more effective.
ALSO Valeric Acid (totally OTC stuff by the way) is similar in very large doses and is harmless overall.
You should keep the Promethazine prescription wise, and try 1000mg of High potency Valeric Acid extract, it will do wonders for sleep with no bad side effects and is OTC. It sounds like you have some OCD going on as well so a 0.5mg of Clonazepam is not a bad idea, or maybe a bit of Pregabalin, those guys do wonders for OCD. Ask doctor about those.

I assume you mean valerenic acid and not valeric/pentanoic acid. Ive never felt anything from valerian root, extracts, ”pharma grade” if you can even call a plant supplement from a pharmacy that. Even eating probably ~15 pills at once. On paper valerian root should do SOMETHING since it acts as a GABA-A Beta 2 and Beta 3 receptor agonist. Similar to etomidate and methaqualone nonetheless

I went through a few studies on valerenic acid analogs a while back and might make a post about them soon even though they dont show much promise

Hello all.

Yesterday I had an appointment with my doctor for chronic insomnia and he prescribed me Diazepam 2mg. I took one an hour before bed and it done absolutely nothing :(. Has anyone got any ideas as to why it didn't work? Cheers guys.
2 mg is an incredibly weak dose . They literally give that same dose the cats . 10 mg of Valium is a nice dose if you want to feel sedation
