Kratom Kratom powder vs the drinks (FeelFree, etc)

What's the difference between doing the Kratom drinks like FeelFree vs doing the powder?

The drinks have a mix of Kratom, Kava and 7-oh (7-Hydroxymitragynine, which is a derivative of kratom).

I tried one and as instructed did one serving (30ml) and it gave me a mildly enjoyable buzz which lasted a few hours. Nothing crazy, it mostly felt like a high dose of caffeine with a little bit of a THC.

However, whenever I hear about these drinks all I hear about is how addictive they are and how your tolerance gets jacked up super high, super quick.

So it seems like a lot of potential danger for not that much of a benefit.

How does the kratom powder by itself compare to the drinks? Or would I need to mix in Kava as well to get the same effect?

Kratom powder on its own is less mentally euphoric, im not sure about these drinks but pure 7-oh powder or crystals can get extremely euphoric, im talking borderline oxy levels, but it is very intense in terms of addiction potential and since its so short acting and so good feeling in the purer forms, it can be really easy to go way over the top. Normal powder is more physical euphoria and nodding vs that strong mental euphoria, powder is also way cheaper, and pretty easy to deal with all things considered.

I tried the 7oh pill as well. It was a 7ohmz brand 14mg pill and the dosage was 1/2 of that so I did 7mg of it. It made me feel a bit relaxed and I could space out easily but it wasn't really that euphoric. The FeelFree drink was more euphoric than the pill.

Is it worth trying the powder at all or is it going to be basically the same as the drink or the pill?

Id say powder is worth it, but if your talking extract powders, the 7 ho extract powders hit much harder than most of the pills in my experience, though I guess its also just cause its cheaper and the doses are pre divided so you want to take more, normal powdered leaf is far and away the safest and most sustainable from an addiction standpoint.

I agree, the powder alone is a safer ( and cheaper) way to go than 7 oh or extracts. As for kava, I never tried them together but to me it seems like it would be counterproductive when using kratom. I also am suspicious of extracts for not possibly being what they say or being poorly manufactured.
I liked kratom powder quite a bit when I started. I don't feel like it was any disappointment ( though I've kind of lost interest now for the time being) Low doses are nicely energizing along with mild euphoria, which is pretty much what I prefer. Without tolerance, you can start off with like 2 mg ( a teaspoon). Increase if you need to. However, if you have some tolerance to other opioids, you might find kratom disappointing, though lots of people have switched over for purposes of managing withdrawal or risk. For sure 7oh seems stronger to me, but it's also more fiendishly addictive than powder, plus it's going to be banned soon. Why have an addiction to something you may not even be able to get?

But you can definitely get addicted to kratom. Lots of people do and lots of people end up on high doses. If you want to avoid that, then just take it now and again. Anyhow, there are many threads on blue light about kratom and 7 oh with info from people with much experience. Very helpful

Anybody have recommendations on capsules. I'd like to get something at least close to oxys. This brand is ok, ordered from them a few times.

Hello? Everybody leave?
Hey dude, I cant actually give you sourcing info on here but I would say look for a bulk kratom extract supplier online and then put that extract into capsules yourself. That will be much cheaper and stronger if you get the right stuff, and if you look around you should be able to find a good company for bulk mit.

Obviously we don't have these drinks in the UK. But could someone tell me if any specific amount(s) of alkaloid(s) are listed on the cans? Is their a standard amount between brands?

Because I've noted that the DEA may control 7-OHM soon (as an analogue - of what I don't know) but not the herbal kratom.

I think most of them do, but the question Id ask is "are they accurate?" From my experience that seems to very, as the legal kratom market runs the gambit of professionalism from total idiots who shouldn't be qualified to flip burgers at McDonald's all the way to advanced very professional laboratories and companies the have great customer care and do advanced high quality synthesis. Most of the headshop brands are on the lower end of the totem pole but some are ok.

"Sourcing" is just where to get a illegal stuff like dope spots etc. I'm just talking about brand names they have on store or online.

Try looking up white magic 63%. best bulk powder i found, about 63% mit no 7 but mit is the precursor. Im not sure how much to equal the oxy your taking but a full capsule of that should be up there with strong pills, just go slow cause mit can cause this delayed mild overdose thing at heavy amounts were you take it and feel ok, then like 40 minutes later take a little more then 20 minutes later take some more and be feeling good and then randomly get the spins and projectile vomit like the exorcist girl. Not a huge deal just something I noticed compared with other opioids ite usually fine for me though, and its not really that bad of it happens.

Its only available online I think, pills in the smoke shops will be much weaker than what you can make at home with pure powdered extract.

I use the combo pretty frequently, kava potentiates kratom a good bit, for me at least. Makes it a little more euphoric and sleepy.

I think the main issue with the drinks isn’t that they are necessarily stronger or more addictive than their powdered counterparts, but the way they are marketed and sold to people to don’t know what they’re taking. They’ve since put some ingredients on the bottle after a lawsuit last time I saw one, but iirc they were super vague when they first came out people were buying them thinking it was a 5-hour energy type deal, not knowing it was addictive until it was too late.

But then again I knew what I was getting into and still got myself addicted. Been trying to taper lately but haven’t actually gotten myself to start yet. I would go cold turkey again, but I can’t afford the lack of sleep right now.

Exactly, same with 7-ho in my opinion. The real problem is the companies and their misleading harmful marketing.
