New seemingly undocumented chemical a Chinese chemist is claiming to produce

That's an odd one; did you happen to notice an actual chemical name on the site?
Specifically, one where Midazolam or other corresponding Imidazo compound has methyl group substituted.

Example of what you're looking for:

8-chloro-1-ethyl-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-4H-benzo[f]imidazo[1,5-a][1,4]diazepine
or
8-chloro-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-ethyl-4H-imidazo[1,5-a][1,4]benzodiazepine

Yes, Midazolam (Versed) is a ultra-short acting Benzodiazepine typically used only in anesthesia. It lasts for approximately 5-7 minutes. When used in anesthesia, it is given as a constant-rate infusion. The short-acting duration is advantageous, as when anesthesia is concluded, recovery is much more rapid.

For someone at home without the means of a constant infusion, which is essentially everybody, Midazolam is pretty useless as a recreational drug. It's possible that the Methyl group could render the drug longer-acting, but that wouldn't be my guess.

No they didn’t have the actual chemical name they just said they have ethyl-midazolam and cyclopropyl-midazolam no image of it either.

It also comes in a pill form that lasts approximately 60 to 120 minutes I hear it’s a pretty desirable recreational drug because it’s water soluble unlike most other benzos meaning it can be insufflated
