Hello everyone,

So I’ve been using oxycodone and kratom for about 8 years. My routine for most of that time was daily kratom leaf (2–4 times per day, around 20–30 GPD total) with weekly oxycodone use — usually 2–3 times per week. On those days, I’d grab some blues (100% real ones), typically 6 at a time. I’d take 3 (about 90mg) at once, then another 3 a few hours later. Even with daily kratom, I always felt the oxy just fine.

Back in April, I found out about 7OH and quickly began using daily and in that time I took a break from oxy (about 2-3 months). This gradually escalated, and now I’m at 200+mg of 7OH per day with no kratom leaf and no oxy use. About a month and a half ago I tried going back to oxy; I took 90mg about 5–6 hours after my 7OH dose and felt nothing. Tried another 90mg an hour later — still nothing. So it’s clear the 7OH has wreaked havoc on my tolerance.

At this point, I don’t feel the 7OH like I used to either so my plan is to stop the 7OH, go back to raw kratom leaf (maybe with some OPMS if needed), and take a tolerance break before trying oxy again.

My questions are:
  1. How long of a break on just plain kratom leaf would I need before oxy starts working again? I’m thinking at the very least a week, and to start low at 30mg just to test the waters for safety sake.
  2. What should I expect in terms of withdrawals when switching back to raw leaf after 5–6 months of heavy daily 7OH use?

Any advice from people who’ve been in a similar situation would be really appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Hmmmm....My situation is a bit different but there are enough parallels to work with. I'm moving oxy out of my mix. I'm taking back the reins there. Started on suboxone (with naloxone) with great results so far. Hit a rough patch yesterday. Was in no frame of mind for it so I tried 7OH. Way better option than alcohol. Bit on the spendy side but I didn't need much. It knpcked the horrid nausea that had jumped me and leveled me right back out all the way into the net day now. Along with a lot of other out of nowhere's but I;m out of subs till I see my doctor next week. She doesn't know I'm dumping the oxy till then. I'll be fine methinks. I have a serious tolerance for oxy. I can do 100mg a day and that ain't gonna go on any longer. I always wondered if/when I was going to get here. I did some cannabis too but it didn't do much. After reading up a bit on 7OH I'm shying away from it long term heavy . Withdrawal from it is said to be way worse and more prolonged than traditional opiates and they're bad enough.

However as a stopgap measure to get over humps coming off the oxy and sticking to the subs along with keeping a proper mindset I believe I can get my life back. I still have a lot oof looking into on the 7OH. I got it yesterday out of desperation and I'm glad I did cuz now I have actual experience and know it works.. I like it. The effect was quite and is still now quite pleasant and gave me back that all important mindset. I also have other non narcotic meds for the RLS and all that fun shit. I have that without being in withdrawal . Horrid tortuous crap. Pramipexole. It's an off label scrip and it plumb works. Only thing I've ever tried that has other than mega heavy narcs. Gabapentin and pregablin are worthless for me and come with their own baggage.

I'm going to get my next 7OH online as it's much less spendy than Habib's up yonder. They call them convenience stores for a reason. I'm quite impressed with the legs on the stuff and have an idea to keep that effect. It's also said tolerance builds quick and that I want to fight shy of as well. My goal is proper pai management. I do have considerable pain stemming from an amputation. Ain't nuthin' phantom about phantom pain. My outline is to have a standard opioid not oxy maybe drop to a norco and discontinuing daily use. Only when the phantom shows up. The 7OH I want to be very careful with. Cannabis is another money pit with me right now that has to take a powder for a spell.

I need to get a comprehensive idea for methodology going forward and now that I've found the missing piece I've needed to plug a hole my metal state is a helluva lot better. I don't have to sit and just twist if things do get bad which they've been known to do. So that's just a cursory look at how I'm trying to space things out and not get dependent on any one substance to fill a gap. I've no tolerance built on 7OH so it can fill a hole briefly while I get a good t break in for cannabis and get back on my subs. My pain doc is awesome and she'll be on board to help me.

Your situation being as your dependent on everything your using in combination right now is a bit stickier. The & /kratom seems like a good place to start to maybe drop off one at a time. That being at least possibly the hardest one to scale back. Of course the information I had on that I believe maybe might have had some bias. Some sources said it was worse than regular narcs others that it was pretty much the same minus that if you can afford it relief is at the corner liquor store. That part matters to me that I can say. So long as I use the option only for rescue. Withdrawal. Our old friend aye? Well I hope this go to see that become past tense. I'm way to old for this shit. I want full control.

I hope some of my rambling might help you a bit. Maybe get some Ideas. I wish I had the answers I tell ya.

Old post I know but here I am yet again kicking this shit, 200mg withdrawl is going to be uncomfortable but it'll be over fast and really not all that bad but you also have years of opioid abuse so your receptors are much more sensitive to changes and the kindling effect will take place which makes things harder but really if you have access to regular leaf and maybe high potency MIT extracts you'd be fine it's gonna suck but it'll be doable just take some perks if it's a real bad day but do NOT take 7oh at all or you'll reset everything, 7oh takes hold extremely fast. Goodluck gabapentin or Lyrica would help a ton too.

How long until I can feel the oxycodone again?

This guide was originally designed for opioid cessation. It minimises withdrawals and maximises long-term recovery including the prevention of relapse. It uses inexpensive OTC items.
