I've been on mirtazapine 30mg for a couple years now I also take olanzapine 10mg but only occasionally when I need that little extra to calm me down. But both do absolutely nothing that i feel from them I would like to try another antidepressant like trazodon would you say this is effective for sleep depression. Likewise I feel nothing from olanzapine even though I only take it occasionally I know I should take it daily but I smoke weed regularly an that drug zaps the buzz. Any suggestions an thanks for having me this is a great site

Funny enough my appetite is poor the thing that makes me hungry is weed. I am abit overweight but that's because I'm lazy lol

If you got real issues trazadone probably won't cut it. It's kinda useless all around that's why they give it to delinquent little junkies in rehab lol but nah it might work but if you're having problems with your current protocol it's hard to say trazadone would be much better. Most antidepressants suck and sooner or later like all drugs, stop working

I ate sugar out of a bag cause of remeron

Am I right in thinking Remeron is a brand-name for mitrazapine?

I never knew that. Been on it for years but I eat one meal per day between 10 and 11PM and had been doing so for the years before I was prescribed it. YMMV I guess.

Funny thing, I reseach medicines a lot... except for the ones I'm prescribed. Either I trust my doctor or I don't. So far they have been great.

Trazodone can work on an as needed basis, the less habitually it’s used, the more effective. At sleep doses (50mg to 150 mg) it will have no effect on depression. The odd thing with Remeron for sleep is that the lower the dose, the more effective it is. The effective dose for sleep is 7.5 mg and you’re supposed to take it every night, not as needed for maximum efficacy. 30 mg Remeron will have a more stimulating effect than 7.5. 30 mg is an antidepressant dose though it is still somewhat sedating which is why it’s taken at night. You’re welcome.

Yes, that’s correct.

I thought that olanzapine Is atypical antipsychotic, one of long - lasting with prominent weight-gain effect.

If u have depression with sleep issues, trazodone Is usually first add on sedating antidepressant along with one of SSRi or SNRi, mirtazapine is stronger and 7,5-15mg is mainly sedating, 30mg still should put you to sleep but the higher Is the dose the higher would be your morning noradrenaline, dopamine, sorotonine. 45 mg put me to sleep but i actually start to feel that monoaminergic element of it mixed into sedative effects.

I consider vortioxetine ( atypical, selective serotonine reuptake inhibitor and serotonine modulator with pro-cognitive effects ), first weeks were rough but now it still works for me after years.
And before sleep i take mirtazapine, most of the time 30mg.

And with mirtazapine u won't get fat if u are able to resist mirtazapine munchies.
These days i was experimenting and 50mg -100mg ER trazodone + hour later 30mg mirtazapine greatly prolonged my sleep. Now i am back to only vortioxetine + mirtazapine....I won't mention other meds because ONLY this 2 are classified as antidepressants.

Try that mirtazapine, if u are not psychotic olanzapine is strange choice, maybe low dose quetiapine if u need antipsychotic sedative would be better.

Just had 2mg diazepam 30/500 co.codamol an 100mg pregabalin an it's not touched the sides

When The Simpsons was good, Monty Burns complains that if he gets any more stressed, he would 'take half of a white Valium'.

Now which writer slipped THAT into the script?

I don't know where you are based but we know from both testing and seizures by law enforcement to know that at least one pilling operation was pressing a nitazene so it could be misrepresented as a benzodiazepine.

So if you can get test strips, I would. But whatever else, start low and go slow.

Take care.

I've just bit a little bit of off to test the waters

Yeah - sooner or later SOMEONE is bound to figure out the simple modification usable in 90% of benzodiazepines that makes them SUPERagonists. If I know of it, I assume others do. Luckily, synthesis is a bit of a pain and since so far almost nobody but us figured out how to make pyrazolam, I have pondered the fact that SOMEONE will find the index paper.

If you are from any of the border states, or states close by, then most likely what you have are Farmapram. You can walk into most Pharmacies in Mexico and ask for a bottle of them. They aren't the same as Xanax but they are similar. They are a potent benzo I know that for sure lol. Having personally taken some of those name times. They look white Xanax bars but without the imprint. Just scored

I'm from the UK got them off the street seem good an strong whatever they are best nights sleep

I have pharmaceutical alprazolam(and I am not trying to sound special).
I am so glad the "novelty" wore off years ago.
I say "novelty" in jest, it was a constant struggle and at the end of the day I probably have stunted the gabba transmitter thingies as the only reliable kinda benzo for purpose remains zopiclone.
I just don't get any "buzz" out of alprazolam, and am glad that I don't, but also glad I have them if needed.
Go figure.

In response to the OP......
I was on Mianserin for many years (similar to Remeron), and I only knew how they worked when I stopped taking them.
I made this decision once my Vyvanse seemed to aleve the depression.
BUT the last 3 weeks of a 6 week taper was hell.
Have been off Anti Dep's for 2 months now, but only because I found the right medication.

So if you don't have an issue or side effects, I would just recommend to stay on the medication until you feel you don't need it anymore.

Again, you will feel them "working", if you stop taking them, and I mean that the feeling is bad.
But it could just be me.
Best to speak to your prescribing Doctor if you want to make a change.

Good luck

U described physical dependence on a substance that u are so used to, that u can't feel it/you think it's not working but WD symptoms are prove that it's working, if Its good or bad that they are working is probably case dependent.
