Will i see a decent government before i die?

If that's the case then the whole thing is kind of pointless?

Although it will make Trump seem a bit of a cunt, if he flat out rejects all of Britain's aims. Despite and after all of the pageantry.
 
It used to be just pageantry. It's reality TV these days. Get the imposing President and his photogenic wife out to meet our, well, royalty (though Princess Catherine is quite pretty).

Take a few pics, win hearts the world over. Hearts who want something other than brutal reality.
 
Corbyn and The Greens are our only hope it would seem now.

Sentiments are clearly polarising to the extremes now, with the more "centrist" parties being absolutely clueless as to the mood of the country at every step of the way, and just creating a huge vacuum.

With well over 100,000 people attending Tommy Robinson's protest rally in London last weekend, and with more events planned, the Reform party are going to seem moderate at this rate.
 
Sadly we're first past the post, so we're tweedledum and tweedledee. We rejected the alternative vote when that came up, so any kind of electoral reform looks distant.

Unfortunately, all we have is a tactical vote in a few marginal constituencies. Maybe the Reform crowd will eat into the marginals. I don't know.

I'd welcome a true leftist alternative, but the tabloids will murder Corbyn and the Greens even worse than they did Corbyn Labour.

The way this country has gone, we should just give Kylie a copy of Das Kapital and tell her to quote it whilst shaking her arse.

But then Charli xcx would complain. About anything. At length.
 
I think it is about 4 years until the next UK GE, a lot can happen in that time so providing MAGA continue to ride their steamroller through the US constitution and congressional law, I would expect a US backed little green man coup in the UK in the meantime with Farage initially as a puppet PM, expect him to be invited upstairs for a nice cup of tea near a big window (blame the leftists for pushing him out) after full control is established and an easier to control and stupider figure like Tommy Robinson to replace him.

Interesting prediction. I wouldn't be surprised if the first part comes true. If Farage does get Trump's financial backing, as well as his verbal support from them being close and strong political allies, which he's already had for years, then that could swing things.

You're definitely also right about Farage certainly not being any sort of fool. He's shrewd alright that's for sure.

I find it hard to believe that Corbyn would run a 'sexist boys club and refuse to allow any other women voting rights'.

I don't believe it, full stop, tbh. Corbyn would be far too p.c. to be that sexist and about 100 years out of touch with the times. There's just no way.

There must be something else going on.

I remember (some - not all) Muslim friends being utterly bemused / amused at the LGBT+ contingent at pro-Palestine rallies.

If there was still anything left of Gaza, I wonder how far they'd get carrying a rainbow flag down the street. Same goes for the (comparatively milder) West Bank.

I'm not criticising the LGBT+ activists or their politics, but it'd be one hell of a rude awakening.

Honestly I’m gutted - not surprised but gutted - “Your Party” went down so easily and stereotypically.

I truly believe the UK electorate are hungering for a genuine Left Wing party.

Green Party appears to be the only game in town though so they’ll still be getting my vote.

True… but politics up here is basically a straight run between Labour and SNP. Generally I vote for the latter as Greens don’t tend to run in our constituency. I’ll wait and see when election calls…

EDIT: To be clear, the Greens have recently started making a showing hence me saying they’ll probably get my vote. SNP remain the stopgap.

I always laugh at the LGBTQIA+ lot, they have no idea what Wahhabi / Salafist concepts are.

If you aren't happy why not go live in China, Venezuela or North Korea if that's what "system" you want?

I've had to turn a deaf ear to some friends and colleagues and make it known that I don't want any TikTok nonsense or AI shit sending to me. What's happening is bad enough without it turning to the same global 'Zionist' conspiracy bullshit. Especially when the word 'Zionist' is essentially being used as a proxy for 'Jew'.

There ARE influential Zionists, but by far the biggest are Christians United for Israel. Some Muslims don't like this being pointed out as it spoils their eschatology, which hinges on Christians and Muslims united under the returned Jesus and eventually all 'reverting' to Islam.

I even had someone tell me that the Israelis would lose because their army is full of gays and furries. I mean, come on.

EDIT: Bumming men doesn't count in the Jihadi code. Raping a man isn't gay.

As a Jewish ex-girlfriend said to me, if we control the world, why has nobody told me? I want in.

Maybe we could make a killing selling rainbow keffiyehs.
