Flower Is oral best made into cannabutter for optimum taste?

Have a weekend coming up where I would like to try a day of swallowing cannabis. I've made a quick mug cake with weed, but it wasn't good. Ami did finish it bc didn't want to waste cannabis . That said it wasn't tasty

I guess I could just eat the buds as that definitely works. I keep seeing recipes to make cannabutter before doing whatever recipe you decide. Just cook coconut oil or butter or fat or flavor fat of choice with . I'm not buying edibles because I'd rather make them . If you do , congratulations. I'm on a budget with my cannabis

Could always cook it in stir fry with meat of choice or come up with a recipe healthier idea because I don't want to do it like with regular brownies with the carbs and fats

What do you find when you want to swallow THC , works best for you?
 
I'm not sure but when I've made edibles I've decarboxylated weed I've just left it in the oven for a bit and then infused some melted butter with the weed and used the butter for cooking. I normally strain out the bud and just toss it. I doubt your losing much from just tossing it out, cus the edibles I've made have gotten me way higher than just smoking cannabis could :ROFLMAO: .

I'm sure if you add whatever you've infused with cannabis into the meal you're cooking you'll be fine
 
Fat and "activation" sound like a fairly good start, then i think going "nano" to maximize bio-disponibility is the way to go.
 
If I was using edibles a lot and using flower I'd definitely go down the cannabutter (or preferably coconut-oil) route. No plant-matter to digest, dosage easily estimated, can make plenty at once and store easily.

I only take an edible maybe once every 3 weeks or so on average though and prefer to use good quality hash (the best imo) or a live resin. Again if making a few doses perhaps go down the cannabutter route.

But, if it's just a one dose situation for yourself or a friend or two you can produce wicked strong and 'healthy' edibles within a few minutes - very convenient indeed.

So, assuming a mid-tolerance and you wanna get pretty damn high for 5 or 6 hours but still able to get off the sofa occasionally I'd be aiming to ingest somewhere around 30mg thc (+/- 10%). Lets assume your hash is 25% thc for this purpose, so at a rough guess 120mg of your hash should contain about 30mg thc.

Use a tiny pan which shit doesn't stick to. Stick a tiny knob of butter or a drizzle of cooking oil of some sort into pan, heat lightly. Angle pan so the melted butter/oil is concentrated in one area then crumble your 120mg hash into it. Lightly fry the hash for maybe 3 minutes - it will usually totally melt into the oils, mop it up with a tiny bit of bread and eat (or just eat in whatever way you can, then enjoy). No need to decarb, it happens naturally via the cooking.

Much better to make your own rather than buy pre-made. You know what's in it, and how much. To me that's essential. It's also loads cheaper.

What I cannot stress enough though is to record your dosages and start small, maybe aiming for 10mg thc to begin with at most, and don't redose. I can still feel nice off approx 10mg thc after decades consuming, but my preferred dose for full recreation is 25-35mg thc but anything above 50mg is usually unpleasant for me. Oral cannabis can feel extremely grim when you've had too much, and it's much more effective than other ROA's at the same dose (many people state if feels like a different drug even)

So, experiment and start low.
 
When I used to smoke cannabis it was only hash avalible that's how long ago but we used to make yoghurts by melting the hash on a spoon with some butter to let the oils out then stirr it into the yoghurt,we once did way to much and after 30 minutes both me and my friend had to go to bed as we couldn't even look at one another due to paranoia. Not a great high .

It's all about the dose / tolerance axis 100%
 
Yeh we used to smoke every night but this night we decided to burn a half score into each yoghurt ,a half score would roll about 7 or 8 joints .
 
I like the bread idea. Simple, and efficient. Great insight on the dose. Could make a pizza and put it in or even buy a small frozen one and put some buds in

I’ve eaten cannabis from time to time and it really is quite or even a lot different than smoking. I’ve also eaten half an ounce in brownies between four people , and I forget if I had two three and or four brownies but it was far, far too much

I would gauge dose based on cannabis I’ve eaten . All the thc percent is 15-27% based on different strains I have access to. Sometimes lower seems better for different situations

Last week or before I smoked three or four different strains with one , red runtz, being twenty seven percent thc, along with black runtz, and couple others, and it definitely caused me to feel a thc high I normally don’t feel

Recently I cut back and found I do get much more thc altered when I skip a week . I also have to promote cbd mixed with thc , if you want a more safe feeling journey, even just a lil sprinkle with a bowl, or can do 50/50 depending what outcome you want, it seems more clear headed and possibly easier to navigate
 
Using it in cookies or food is an awkward idea

It doesn't taste good, it's not food

A minimal amount of butter is the way

Making edibles is definitely a learning curve, but there’s plenty of guides on how to do it properly!

Quick few tips:

1. Eating raw weed buds does not get you high, it has to be decarbed first. Can be done in MANY different ways as some people here have already highlighted

2. Using a milligram scale to weigh out your dosage is a must I’d say, I made the mistake to use a plain kitchen scale and yeah, that was the most stoned I’ve ever been lol, can be very uncomfortable if that’s not what you were going for. There’s also calculators online for calculating the amount of THC in whatever you’re making, so those are useful.

3. Wait at least 2 hours before eating more edibles. For me I’ve even had times where it took 4 hours to hit and by that point I’d already eaten wayy too much aha :’)

Also general tip about saving money weed wise, dry herb vaporizers!!! You can get one starting from around €40, which is an investment, but in my opinion very worth it and very underrated. You get way more thc out of the weed you put in it compared to smoking, 2g could last me 1-2 weeks with daily use AND the leftover vaped weed is AMAZING to use in edibles, as it’s already been decarbed and it leaves way less of a strong weed taste in any edibles you make with it. Essentially you are using the same weed twice. I always save up my already vaped weed, then when I have around 2-4g I make edibles with it :)

It sure felt strong bc after I awoke, from eating cannabis thc buds ,ten hours earlier, I thought I had some very restful sleep and felt relaxed from the thc buds, I ate prior to attempting to sleep, I seemed to recover, from being relaxed , and sleeping better. All Placebo
