Hey all, thanks for reading the following and hopefully someone has solid advice. So I have a nasty 7oh habit. I've decided to finally be done with it. I signed up on quick md and got a 7 day script of subs. I waited a full 24 hours before I took my first 8mg strip. I was in full blown withdrawal when I took it. I know, I know I should have probably started on a smaller dose. 30 minutes later I'm in straight hell and put myself into full blown pwd. I freak out and then took another 8mg strip....the weirdest thing then happened 20 minutes later, I freaking feel asleep for a half hour and woke up in full blown hell again! I don't understand the sleeping thing one bit! It doesn't make sense at all. I wake up feeling so terribly guess what I do then? Take another 8mg strip. So that's 24mgs within a couple hours. Nothing is calming down so I proceed to go out and buy 7oh to hopefully calm my system down. I take a large amount of 7oh at first..of course throw it up in the parking lot because my stomach hates me. Then I get more and slowly get down a bunch. 30 minutes later I'm feeling normal with a headache. Not high, just normal. I managed to go to bed and sleep a full 8 hours. I wake up for work and take more 7oh so I can at least try and get through the work day. I haven't felt any of the 7oh I took in the morning all day. To tell you the truth I worked my butt off and had a great day! So what I'm wondering is should I try and take a small amount of sub tonight? Is that what actually got me through the day not the 7oh? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

No.

I’m pretty sure that seven displaces everything from the receptors. I think it’s the king of affinity. Methadone users chime in here. Can you take seven and feel it?

Anyways. I think what happened is waiting opened up some space on the receptors. That’s why you slept. You fully occupied the receptor and felt relief. Even though it was a mix of left over seven and the buprenorphine. That’s why taking more bupe would make you feel better.

You’re goi g to have to do the same thing again. But this time you can’t go get seven.

When I took heroin I put myself into precips one time. It was god awful. I just kept taking strips during the withdrawal. Snorting every five minutes. Eight strips later I finally vacated the receptor and occupied with buprenorphine.

Seven is a beast brother. It clings to that receptor good and kicks off basically everything.

The receptor has to naturally vacate the seven. I’m confused why it even caused precips at all. Most people get no relief from seven withdrawal with sub. But if it’s how I think it is.

Very little bupe is finding open receptors to occupy. So you’re not getting relief.

Perhaps using the Bernese method would be of assistance. Look it up. I think it’s bernese

So do you think it's been the 7oh that's carried me fine all day? Any other day I have to take 7oh in the morning, around lunch then before dinner. I haven't taken 7oh in over 12 hours and feel pretty good.

There’s probably bupe or seven still on the receptors. Just stay the course. Really look up that Bernese method dude. Basically. It’s take a tiny amount of sub and your regular dose of drug of choice. Day by day and evening by evening increase that bupe dose gradually while decreasing the drug dose gradually. Eventually supplanting the occupation of the receptor. You get it?

Do it on a schedule and you’ll gradually transition onto bupe. It should be a lot easier in that way.

FYI

I just kicked seven
I didn’t use bupe.

I used gabapentin, Theanine, magnesium, green tea extract, b vitamins, calcium, vitamin c, zinc, fish oil, and iron; I feel good.

It’s day whatever. I kicked it on Monday.

Just do it. However it needs to happen.

Seven is fucked. It’s a great recreational drug. But it very quickly redefines your relationship to it from recreational to dependent.

You’ve got this.

Fight the power. Fight the powers that be.

I was and am still hoping it's was the 24mgs of subs I took yesterday afternoon that covered the receptors and 7oh I took this morning was blocked. Time will tell I guess.

Congratulations on getting off this stuff. It's horrid. Worse for me than H or Fetty.

It is what it is.

Don’t catastrophize.

Face the sickness like you’ve faced all the others.

Endure. Overcome.

The only way out is through.

Thank you. It’s staying off that’s hard for me.

I think it’s about like oxycodone but very moreish with a strong tolerance building efffect, an adjustment to the effects of a dose turn what in the beginning is like 12 hours of bliss into what becomes 2 hrs of feeling alright until you need to dose again.

It’s not a fun drug to use.

It’s giving “slave.”

I knew that shit was super adictive from day one. I tested a /1/4 hit (the Opia that tested at 27 mgs). Then I did a half hit (13.5 mgs) along with a SOMA and got tremendous pain relief for my back theat was killing me. But since I have avoided it. Still take my 5 grams of Kratom 5 days a week, but I have taken 7oH only twice in 3 weeks. I guarantee you stuff will get you hooked just as likely as Oxy, and its not as fun (but better than Fentnal).

So be careful it is a once a week high IMO. Take it only if you are in pain. I know one guy was taking 15 mgs even morning (no problems) but he is the exception, not the rule.

Just my opinion.

7 oh has a higher binding affinity than sub/bupe?

Psynaut -- sounds accurate with the same risk as oxy without the fun -- and if bupe doesn't work I must assume a heavier addiction. In mice it was 18-23x morphine potency -- which didn't translate to humans but maybe some of the addictive properties did?

Idk I'm a laymen ---- Went to the gas station today to grab a nic vape -- "They are illegal now" What really? The hell 0 notice lol

So a little update...but worth posting. I've pretty much avoided taking 7oH. The first time I took 13.5 mgs (half a 27 mg Opia) I got high but a few days ago I took the same dose and hardly felt anything. Last night I was feeling crappy and took another half and didn't really feel much. Crazy how fast tolerance builds and I have taken it once, twice a week tops. Still taking my 5 mgs of Kratom most days.

My feat were killing me today, going shopping after working out (and using the treadmill) and my plantar fasciitis is a bitch.

This is because the modern day treatment for precipitated withdrawal from buprenorphine is….. believe it or not: MORE BUPRENORPHINE. It truly works. I didn’t believe it until I experienced myself during a Hail Mary whilst in the throes of PWD myself. It even works for PWD from a fentanyl habit.

An immediate megadose of buprenorphine is essential.

“High-dose buprenorphine–naloxone was given to the patient and precipitated withdrawal subsided after receiving a total of 20 mg.”

Here’s another paper:

“We found that repeating doses of 8 mg, with close monitoring of changes in withdrawal symptoms and for sedation, allowed us to rapidly and safely relieve our patient's symptoms.”

I’ve had it happen too. The tolerance you develop for 7OH is unreal. It’s kind of defeating to take your normal dose and get nothing from it! I haven’t used subs but I’m in the process of cutting down in aim of quitting myself. How much 7OH were you using daily before you started trying to quit? So far I’ve enjoyed adding MIT concentrate to reduce my 7 dose, but I’m in the very beginning of my taper so I can’t yet claim it “works”. I wish you the best dude
