Site Feedback I chose to "follow" a member thinking I would get notified of their new posts... do I not understand correctly?

Basically it.
Do I not get notified of user posts? Is there another step I have to take to receive notifications? Or is this not a feature that we use...?

Click the lightning bolt at the top and then choose "Your News Feed" and everything in there is from people you follow

^^ as electrum said, following someone just puts their posts in your "News Feed" or recent activity, which you can see by clicking the lightning bolt. It will show you posts that people you follow have made and that they react to

Just checked and lightning bolt doesn't sync with posters posts. Went to their profile and looked at latest posts but bolt doesn't reflect content.
No big deal just thought I'd find an easy way (less clicks lol ).

It would be easy to add it somewhere like the front page. It would just require some minor modifications. But I'm not sure if they're interested in doing something like that.
