As much as the music is appreciated; it's kind of disrespectful to the hero (fighting for our economic /basic survival
) veterans on which the song was based. Glad to have an opportunity to post the original, in their honour ( sad to think even Metallica were making money off the misery of war) Think they served their fellow men, with the dignity & empathy- with this ode- tbf ( or were they just Pammy Anderson-with her make-up-off -hacks?!) - TBF P. Anderson never used the real misery of others to catapult her media). Real veterans get no recognition . The spoils of war. On every side is horrific.

I know there have been many wars. And many wars are continuing on right now and we just.. don’t get it. Neither do they. It breaks my fucking heart.
I’m so fucking proud of both of my grandfathers for fighting for us in WW2.
One of them was a linesman. His job was to go ahead of everyone into the battlefield and lay the lines of communication. The idea was to be sneaky..but of course there was no perfect way to do this without the inevitable happening. He was shot at many, many times while doing his insanely dangerous job.
What a badass motherfucker.
He would never consider himself to be any such thing. I wonder what he’d think about me saying that about him. He’s been gone for years now
He never spoke about it.
We are their legacy, we got to do them proud (despite our shortcomings) We have to honour them, our blood, our heritage!

Yes we do. We have their blood coursing through us. We have their fight. We need to do them proud.
We carry their legacy. We honour. We protect that with our fucking everything. We share it with our kids if we have them. I have one. But you get what I’m saying.
