Exploitation of the homeless...??

So I have been watching a lot of these YouTubers that cruise the streets looking for homeless/ drug infested areas to chat with an occasional person at rock bottom and they give out waters but do we know of any of them are actually helping ??
I know they are " bringing awareness" but with the epidemic, I'm sure America is aware. .

Thoughts ??
 
The homeless get exploited in all kinds of ways - True. Our glorious US leader wants to round them up into concentration camps with the immigrants so lets hope that doesn't happen!

Here is what gets me -- when kids with parents and a house run out panhandling stepping on homeless ppl's money.

Yea a water is a small price to pay for the potential monetization of that clip --- Hawktuah girl did alright LOL? (She wasn't homeless but it was one of those random street q's)

I did not I missed it but I totally believe it he can get creepy -- Maher aint his real last name he comes from some old money (If I recall correctly don't quote me).

Was it this weeks or anything or somewhere in the past?

This isn’t limited to the homeless, obnoxious YouTubers do all kinds of crap for clout, to make themselves look like they are morally righteous or whatever else, I’ve seen many examples and prefer not to watch YouTube because of it.

I can’t stand it really, what you’re describing is more of a narcissism problem exacerbated by the social media age.

Yea narcissism is seriously disgusting and social media has exposed how bad it is .. problem is most are delusional by a long shot .

People filming themselves showing how righteous they are by giving water to the homeless is the same concept of doing whatever public stunts for views and likes online, just looking for dopamine and an ego stroking.

I'm glad they do that. To be honest no one really cares enough to stop and give someone a water who might not have had a drink in a day or two. I haven't watched the videos but maybe they post them to try to get other people involved as well. Maybe they are just trying to help the homeless people feel connected to something by chatting for a few. They are invisible to most so I for one support the effort.

Same as those "christians" praying in public for all to see. Yet when they are alone they are horrible people.

I am a fan of doing good deeds behind the scenes to show a person really does have faith.

I’ve given water to homeless before but don’t feel a need to film myself doing it. The filming them is the exploitative part.
 
Speaking of I ran into a YouTuber / channel that really pissed me off -- 'hood pranks' or whatever --- idiots going up to gangbangers and corner boys throwing up fake gang signs and saying menacing shit that "oh oh oh it was a joke" --- The answers are always so honest too "You know where you are: Aka ppl die round here for Alot less than that everyday" -- or "I don't have time for this" are the top two.

I truly hope someone smokes that fuckin guy -- doesn't help he calls everyone "My boy" either --- goes as far as pulling and shooting them with fake guns with no orange tip --- just not cool stuff.

Anyone ever does that my boy prank shit on you manhandle the fuck out of em for they own good so they don't continue.

The filming is downright dehumanizing. You come to my house with what you think will bait me out of desperation and a camera to laugh you not gunna have a good day. You can also see the cowardice as they wouldn't dare -- the homeless are vulnerable. Same way serial killers choose the sick weirdos. (I got a feeling they day will come though -- noone out in the criminal world finds being fucked with or threatened cute or good natured)

I've never seen them so I really wouldn't know. I just like to think there are selfless people out there who really want to help without the hype.

Yes this sounds exactly correct I did notice in Detroit he had a black dude with him doing most of the pranks -- the ones I saw at least it was a compilation but I think that guy was involved in most/all of them. *unless they tick-tock trends or some shit idk*
Do me a favor and message me when someone wastes his dumb ass. (no one cares about that damn camera -- get him to roll through O block in Chicago or w/e are those drill rappers are - we should go fuck- gofundhim lol)

Not many homeless ppl around here as it is winter 9 months of the year but damn when you do run into one you know it is a real problem and that person needs to get housed or out of the state and some responsibility comes with that.

He won’t get wasted because the pranks are basically all fake. There’s a guy on YouTube who talks about it. He discusses his dumb ideas with people beforehand, it’s just acting.
