If you had the resources, health, finances, availability what would you like to do/accomplish?
I would like to get my pilots license and a plane to fly.
I got my open water scuba certification 2 years ago, however, I had to stop because I injured my back. I would like to scuba dive in the Caribbean and many other places if age and health were no longer a factor.
I would like to travel locally and abroad.
I would like to trip again, unfortunately psychedelics are not working as I hoped they would.
I am certain to think of more but for now these will suffice.

I would become a doctor and then use my practice to help the desperately poor, or even go to a poor country to do foreign aid work.

Which is what I'm trying to do now but... it's feeling kind of hopeless at this point.

I’m sorry to hear things are not going as planned. The wonderful thing about choices is you can make them as you go along.

Getting all the medical treatments for myself, my partner, my mate...

Taking my mother on a couple vacations...

Cover the legal costs / financial requirements to have my partner stay with me...

All about as far out of reach as the moon unless I win the bloody lottery or something. 🤷

I forgot to add, replace the collapsing roof of my partner's shack in case we have to move back to Brazil because of the increasingly xenophobic British government.
At the moment the place isn't fit for human habitation and on account of storm damage and termites liable to collapse on your head any day.

.. Yeah I have no grand ambitions. I just want a sound roof above my head somewhere without a huge crime rate, to be with the man I love and for us both to be allowed to contribute our skills to society and work for a living.

According to some that makes us criminals because 'immigration me no like funny people waaahhhh!'

While the political class would wave him through so long as he was an unprincipled rich fuck with a few hundred grand to donate to whatever the ruling party is. They claim to want immigrants who are 'honest hard workers', but that only applies if you can meet some arbitrary nonsensical price tag the vast majority of born-and-bred BRITISH citizens could never afford.

I despair of humanity.

Bread and butter stuff would be a home with some land furnished with all utilities etc, self sustaining as possible etc, a car done up to max to last long and be efficient..

Other than that I’d like to go to a studio, and record everything I’ve written to tape, with no time or budget limit overall
(cutting 5 songs in a 8 hour slot is brutal!)

I’d like to find a university and work towards a degree (philosophy or pharmacology)

Start gardening and try make some sort of nature reserve, maybe even a big community thing or project..

A long trip across Greece, and then if possible a long austere retreat with Buddhist monks or the like.

But I’m Happy with what I’ve got, and live to my means and needs best I can.

I’ve been lucky to not go without growing up and as an adult I try my best to not reach beyond my means.

I’ve had a better life than the untold number of people who live in poverty, servitude etc.

It’d be nice but I don’t need these things right now, and I can do these all in a way on my own if I decide that’s my path. Wants and wishes are only a idea at first.

- Buy new homes and cars for my family, get them better health insurance and better doctors.
- Make dividend investments on opposite sides of the spectrum in a strategy that keeps cashflow relative, but meager to start a slow build for consistency.
- Invest in a savings account that has compound interest at a bank.
- Buy out and renovate my families home, the place I grew up in. - Not for sale, but for either renting, or a vacation home. Also to keep as an emergency backup home in case some in-house family shit hits the fan with someone's life.
- Make several security investments for myself, such as cameras on the outsides of every house I own, take proper firearm classes as well as martial arts classes again, and spend the rest of my time visiting UNESCO Heritage Sites around the world.

Am not sure about the exact strategy but the ethos would be focused on humanity thriving and not being encumbered by extremely, corrupt leaders.

Corruption is happenstance ...
but silencing descent in the populus against the needs of democracy is despotism in another form - which is happening slowly, amongst western politics, unfortunately.

There is no ideal.

Capitalism is necessary for financial growth.
Socialism is necessary for meeting the basic needs of the working -class and poor.

We need a balance. Imho.

I'd spend it on Hospitals, Schools, Police, Fire dept - the basics to keep civil life, essentially functioning and work/branch down from investment in those institutions towards more nuanced investment in their subsidiaries that aid communities, the people.

Also, army etc. weapons to defend. Enemies would be blown to high-heaven.
I'm a basic bitch, if I had the finances to spend.
Also, free cheese for the populous...very important. 😉

buy all the houses around me and turn off their security lights, grow and breed weed and supply my state with weed that gets ya high and isn't named after some dessert

I would like a decentralized city state like system, where every city has its own rule. A bit like it was in Italy during the rule of the Medici, where the cut-throat mathematicians were betting on algebra problems and their solutions.

But now with a twist: A couple of unwilling kings and queens advising, which you have to drag in screaming because they don't like leading, but they have the capabilities and don't enjoy it. This sounds terrible, but people who like power are not good usually and need down time to recalibrate. Perhaps rotating them to prevent making them power sick, their vasals visiting neighboring towns to exchange experiences.

Current systems let someone in power for too long. Longer than 4 years and you will be toast psychologically and need to be replace.

Democratic within the cities, people can have weapons, naturally. A weapon in a city can be a simple knife. More effective than a gun in alleys. An upper counsel for infrastructure, hospitals and security. Social security, policing, ambulances and fire department towards city states and municipalities.

Decentralization has of course overhead, but it prevents large scale corruption unless it is thoroughly infiltrated.

In the Netherlands we had close to an ideal system, but unfortunately EU is getting less and less democratic now due to influx of too many crazy extremists, crazy left-wing and right-wing parties, which don't seem to talk to each other. And a hyperfocus on safety (in a country where you can safely sleep on the ground).

Oh yes and a bit of cheese, a glass of wine, and perhaps a nice psychedelic once in a while. Totally fine with that.
