Gabapentinoids Gabapentin and baclofen for kratom withdrawal

I tried to search for this but didn't find much. I'm on vacation this week and wanting to kick my kratom habit of about 12 g a day. I quit before and 3 or 4 days of Xanax was all I needed. But I can't get them zanies anymore. But I do have baclofen and gabapentin. I have experience with both and I am familiar that baclofen is a Gaba B agonist and gabapentin is a voltage ion channel something er ather. I honestly don't get a lot of relief from either, but I also don't take big doses. But I was suspecting that like 600mg gabapentin and 10mg baclofen might be a good combo to take the edge off. Anybody have any advice or experience?

imo/e the two substances you have will help fairly well during your tolerance break from kratom.

With no tolerance to gabapentin or baclofen I would think the substances would help alleviate a lot of the symptoms of withdrawals from kratom. Some report that kratom wds are hell. Some find them mild and just feel "off" for a couple days. Guessing there is some others that would fall between the two.
12g a day doesn't sound like an extreme dosing to me. The wds may cause some discomfort and I feel the degree of wds would depend in part how long this dosage has been taken.
Im Rx-ed pregabalin and gabapentin for many years along with a couple other meds and I take less than prescribed. But if I take 600mg gabapentin I often forget about dosing kratom and won't dose til the next day.
Pregabalin is a whole notha story. I can still feel the 100mgs but if I take 300-600mg I am zonked and don't feel a need for anything at all. Cept food it gives me the munchies like a mf. lol
All that to say that imo/e the two substances you have will help fairly well during your tolerance break from kratom.
This is all anecdotal and sharing from experience ymmv.
 
Thanks. Both of them aren't big respiratory depressors (if at all), so that was part of my concern. Kratom withdrawal is such a weird thing. It's like it's more mental or anxietal than straight opioid withdrawal. But it's weird because for me it's also very tiring but also stressful mentally. Ive got some phenibut arriving monday. I know that's dangerous but it's just 30 pills. So I think I can do the baclofen and gabapentin after, or before. Hell i dunno. Just overthinking it as usual. I don't have a tolerance to gaba stuff and have never abused benzos or GABAnergic drugs. So that bodes well. I remember baclofen was decent when i quit h once. Not fantastic on its own but a nice bit of relief. Well anyway I'll report back. I was dumb and bought a bottle of Tianeptine yesterday. That helped a lot, and it didn't feel like it had a short half life. I've taken 6G of kratom today so that's not bad. Alright I'm rambling, I'll check back in.

Gabapentin and Phenibut are both closely related and work in a similar fashion. Hell, Baclofen is also closely related. I've tried using Phenibut for Kratom withdrawal. Despite also working on voltage gated calcium channels, I found that Phenibut didn't help much with the physical withdrawals. Gabapentin is better for that purpose. However, Phenibut should be better for the mental anguish. So if it were me, I'd use the Gabapentin early on and then switch to phenibut after a week or so as I find the depression and anxiety from kratom withdrawal to peak around week 1-2
 
Things lime gabapentin can be godsends during withdrawal. Just spread out your dosing with it -- I'd suggest no more than 300mg at a time, wait an hour (people recommend eating something fatty with it), take 300mg more, etc.

Yeah it is so weird how gabapentin gets absorbed. For me, even if I eat a greasy meal and I have an empty stomach, the gabapentin can take like three hours to kick in. I'm not even exaggerating

That's very interesting. I did a dry run yesterday. I took one 300 mg gabapentin And then a few hours later took baclofen and holy shit it was unbelievably euphoric. And also very relaxing. Like I almost was nodding off but I was able to stay awake and kind of enjoy it.

I wish i could get some benzos, but my stupid plugs are all flakey selfish bastards. Lol.

I've got some buspirone, trazodone, one ambien, and some gabbys and baclos. So I should be all right. I'll report back. I have to do something with work Monday so that's the perfect excuse to wait til monday night.
 
Gabapentin eliminates 90% of kratom withdrawal for me. In contradiction phenibut makes me feel worse in kratom withdrawal. Also I never tried baclofen so I can not compare.

I've always enjoyed baclofen. There are times where it's surprisingly euphoric. It's an underrated sedative I feel like. I wish that I could get a script because every month or so I experience really bad tension where my shoulders meet my neck and it can be really painful. Happened to me today. Also have issues with my lower back at times
