5htp seems to be something of a minefield judging by the first few returns of a Duck Go Go search. That is if your dopamine is already imbalanced due to ADHD, and if you're already taking SSRIS / SNRIs. I'll probably continue to dodge that one, but glad it's of benefit to someone.
I have previously tried l-theanine but noticed absolutely nothing. I used it every day for 60 days or however many was in the tub. Perhaps you have to use it as part of a "stack".
And Ashwaganda, I've heard several people rate it, but for the price, you may as well get 'proper' (pharmaceutical) drugs, if you can.
I dunno though, I'm probably being a bit overly sceptical and may look into some kind of stack that doesnt fuck with what im already taking. I suspect that it might end up becoming more and more complicated, the more I find out.
Cod liver oil, high in and EPA and DHA is by most accounts great for brain health, blood pressure, and many other benefits. You need to remember to take it consistently every day though. Something which I struggle with massively for some reason.
Failing that I swear that just taking a good multivitmain after my evening meal, especially if only done occasionally, has me feeling better than normal the next day, both mentally and physically. Many of us probably have micro deficiencies or something more significant, so most of this stuff is probably going to help.
