The past week in the news is this drug that is opioid 40 times more powerful than fentanyl? What is it.


A composite image shows one method a drug seller told CBC News they could conceal nitazines in a teapot, as well as an online ad advertising a type of nitazene on LinkedIn.(CBC, LinkedIn)

Nitazenes aren't nearly as popular as fentanyl and its analogs, but they offer a more potent high, making them appealing to drug dealers. Drug users might not even know they're consuming nitazene

Nitazenes have been around for awhile, at least a couple years. There are several, with various potencies. You don't see them much because the cartels don't fuck with it, but they are readily available on RC sites.
 
they have been found more in EU than the US, but i'm sure there's a ton of killer US dope on the streets here. not to mention all the "FENT FREE GUARANTEED" dope/fake pharma available on DNMs. best/safest case scenario you're getting O-DSMT, which at that point might as well just buy yourself.

there are tons of diff zines/pynes/whatever ranging from way more to less potent than fentanyl produced in china and anyone buying RC's should take extra caution when allergy testing purchases. mixups have/will happen. i recall one sample sold as 3c-p was a zene

Nitazene test strips are cheaply available from several companies ….dealers lying about real pharma should be named and shamed accordingly
 
There’s some misinformation in this thread. I am daily user of nitazenes, and have been for quite some time now.

The vast majority nitazenes available currently (to me) are essentially equipotent to fentanyl. Not 40x fentanyl. Some slightly less, some slightly more. See figure S5 https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/instance/11324687/bin/204_2024_3774_MOESM1_ESM.docx

Also, they are more prevalent in the USA’s street “fentanyl” and heroin supply than people seem to realize. If the cartels aren’t “fucking with them” as another user said, then somebody importing the “fentanyl” certainly is, in various parts of the country.

It is true that they have absolutely wrecked the fentanyl pressed oxy 30 market. Somebody’s been producing loads of protonitazene 30s for a minute now.

?

Is it short lasting like fent?

How is the pain releif aspect?
Drowsiness ?
Legs?

There are many different nitazenes. Some of them are shorter acting, some not. Some offered me very nice euphoria with little drowsiness, some are heavier feeling. Similar to the days of all the fentanyl analogues.

Never tried much fentanyl analogues besides regular fent.

It’s good to hear some are long acting. Which ones do you know?

Sorry I can't answer this properly.

I only tried a couple and that was years ago. One of them I actually thought was subjectively more enjoyable than 'regular' fent. It was a kind of butyrfentanyl sold as '4FBF' and cut with lactose to make it handleable. It was honestly pretty nice if not long lived.

I should also clarify that I am not a fan of regular fentanyl's effects. For me it's just like massive sedation and heaviness on the chest, with very little mood lift.

Isotonitazene was great when it was easily available, I enjoyed protonitazene as well. Right now I’m running through protodesnitazene which doesn’t last as long as the others, but it’s good enough for me.

Can you compare them to popular opioids in terms of their prooertiies:

Pain releif
Euphoria
Sedation
Stimulation

What are these properties like in nitazenes
 
I always get somewhat of a stimulation even from heavy doses of something like fentanyl, same with the nitazenes.

But once I plan on nodding, I notice nitazenes are more sedating than heroin or oxy or anything.

Pain relief is equipotent to fentanyl. You will feel zero discomfort from anything that ails you.

Euphoria depends on the nitazene, though I find them all a little less euphoric than ultra pure heroin (when I could still enjoy heroin). Isotonitazene me was the most euphoric I’ve ever had, but the rush from protodesnitazene is euphoric for me every time I use, and gradually tapers off.

This is just my experience, YMMV.
