There was no "taking the piss" by me. Completely your perception. I was actually posting a song that resonated with the harmonies (if you had listened properly to the music). Perhaps it is you taking the piss out of my post & yours (if that's the case!)😉

I would say a mixture of all three. The Mondays are (almost) patient zero when it comes to rave culture in the UK.

Infamously they (allegedly) imported the first major shipments of ecstasy pills to the UK. Thusly influencing such legendary acts as Primal Scream, The Stone Roses and many, many more…

As the house dealers at Hacienda they basically heavily influenced an entire generation and, barely even arguably, changed the UK indie and dance landscape completely 💜

To be clear, I fukkin ❤️ 70s music too. Some of my favourite acts (David Bowie, Lou Reed & Neil Young) had their best years back then. Disco was (occasionally) amazing, hip-hop was founded, punk kicked out the jams… and so on.

However, the 90s were far more revolutionary imo. I don’t expect to sway you with such a small sample but some surface-level highlights include…

In NL was befor legalisation also suvhcha guy .
Who kinda solley provided the whole NL with quality MDMA.

To bad it was atm bit something i didn t so never had one of that batch.
They were called Salmies, because making a good binder for a pill.
Was unsuccessful, so he ordered kilos Salmiak candy powder,
and used that as binder.

So if you ever hear early MDMA tasting like Liquorice/ Salmiak,
now you know there might be some truth in that.
