Hello,

First to clarify I am not looking for medical advise, only to hear other people's experiences from the same ballpark as me.

So, IV is my preferred route of administration and I've done a lot of drugs in that manner, but never felt major physical symptoms, suggesting a good amount of damage. But the last years, after i switched from pharma morphine to street heroin and then started doing cocaine along with the H, my veins got worse and worse...I almost stopped using daily, but the last month or two I went back to pharma morphine/levomethadone and daily cocaine...and the last couple of days I feel quite unpleasant pins and needles (not like the ones from the morphine rush), numbness and being slightly swelled - my arms and feet...) I do have poor blood circulation there, because of collapsed veins, but i started getting worried if maybe i caused some thrombophlebitis or i'm on the way of causing it...I will go to the doctor on friday and see what would he recommend.

Are you shooting into your legs and feet? If you are thats a huge risk because the circulation there is less then in your arms

I've had the same symptoms from iv cocaine abuse.
Get your doctor to prescribe you Doxium(calcium dobesilate), diosmine and pentoxifyline. You can take each drug for 3 weeks then switch to other so u don't get a tolerance. Doxium and diosmine ive used em together and rhey are great. Those pins and needle sensations dusappeared completely. But first and foremost... STOP SHOOTING COKE altogether or you're just gonna get worse.
Take care please.

I have experiencing not exactly the same thing but similar with coke but I noticed that almost all the coke now especially when it has chemical taste when the blood is registered in the needle it turns think and black and if you take to long will clog the needle only happened a couple times and gave me a severe headache so I started purifying it my self now because I think it is being cut with something that is very dangerous to inject because most people don’t and friends that snort or smoke don’t mind this cocaine but the one time I did it and managed to get a few shot in it cause terrible headaches and a weird high and in one night almost every vein in my arms got hard to hit and uncomfortable and I have tried it from many sources and from many different town all over my state not sure at what upper level that are putting some kind of adulterant that isn’t intended to be IV

I had this for quite a while in my arms from IV meth use. Especially in my main arm. Many collapsed veins and the little veins in the wrist were so tiny like fishing line. Circulation sucked and the hand and arm was often tingly.

I quit and over the years things but better. My arms are actually pretty vascular now which they never where before.

I never (well, almost never), shot into my legs, but I’ve lost several veins in my arms due to overuse. When I occluded my left brachial vein, it never came back. Horrible phebitis for a month, and then just collapsed/gone. I also learned that they do not come back. I’m still missing a vein in my left biceps. Also, my hand swelled up for a month when it happened. Don’t shoot any more. That experience taught me the value of my vasculature. I’d suggest finding another roa.

you only get a limited lifespan of IV usage or smoking usage until you sustain organ damage. it’s guaranteed for both those roas

that pins and needles plus swelling is not something to ignore at all, good you’re going to a doctor, seriously, that combo you described can mess up circulation fast, I’ve seen people brush it off and regret it later

Hey man,

I just wanted to share my experience as a serious warning because I went through exactly what some people here are describing.

In 2023 I relapsed hard with IV cocaine and was injecting into my groin (femoral vein). One day I developed a massive abscess in the groin/hip area. It got badly infected, destroyed my left hip joint, and the doctors had to do a Girdlestone procedure — they completely removed my left hip head. I now have no hip joint on the left side and my left leg is about 3 cm shorter.

I’m only in my 40s and I’m stuck with a destroyed hip, major mobility problems, constant pain, and I’m waiting to see if I can even get a new hip replacement later. All of this from shooting coke into the groin.

I was on substitution (methadone) for years before and thought I was “safe” because I knew the risks with heroin — but the switch to IV cocaine made me careless and I paid a horrible price.

Please, if you’re injecting into the groin — stop. It’s not worth it. The blood vessels there are deep and an infection can destroy your hip or even become life-threatening very fast. I wish someone had really drilled this into my head before I did it.

I’m clean from IV use now and fighting my way back up, but the damage to my hip is permanent.

Stay safe out there.
