I have schz-a depression, lately I've experimented with small doses of golden teacher. Although, none of these produced hallucinations beyond a difference in cognition and vivid dreams my emotional state was noticeably affected. This is more likely the result of stopping Effexor than introducing than taking psilocybin. However, I cannot rule out psilocybin not affecting serotonin and dopamine levels altogether or the possibility a mild form of psychosis has not set in. On this note I plan to take time off to recover and see where that leads me.

didn’t have any WD because I take Vraylar (antipsychotic) that helps with depression. It was easy tapering down and quitting. It took 5 days to stop altogether. Other issues include insomnia, if I don’t get enough sleep it affects mood and stability. I take Vraylar, 2 stimulants, Brasoma and trazodone for sleep.

It’s like walking a tightrope, tip too much on one side or the other could cause a crash. I’m 70 yrs old and I have lived a lot, I know myself but at anytime playing with fire will get you burned.

I’m considering taking a week off Vraylar for psychedelic effects. I am curious to learn how Vraylar affects me and by reducing drug impact I can determine if taking the drug is beneficial.

I wouldnt stop taking any antipsychotic cold turkey for a week. That could cause symptoms to return and possibly return worse. I dont know about vrylar but i know risperdal can cause severe rebound symptoms It did it to a friend of mine.

Also i take zyprexa and still trip. What i do is stop taking it for 2 days then i take the shrooms. I dont take my zyprexa the night i trip until i come down. when i come down i take the zyprexa clonazepam and zopiclone to sleep. I wouldnt stop taking my meds for a week though that is asking for it imo. I dont want the psychosis or cotards syndrome i had to come back.

If you want to get off your meds you should talk to your shrink.
