what is the first true drug experience you had ? What did you have it on where you their with anyone else. Would love to hear some since I feel we are all the same in some way shape or form.

Oxycodone for sure. It was in my dad's medicine cabinet and I was curious. Took three of them....an hour later I called my best friend and said, "I think I'm high!" I was 13 and REALLY enjoyed that experience.

The first true drug experience I had, I guess, would be oxycodone. I think I was 15? Anyway, I discovered an unused script in a junk drawer. Took a few and got that buzz. There were only about maybe 6 pills there, so they lasted for a day or two. Then I found another unused script for oxycodone and then one for hydrocodone, both years old. I fell in love with both and started taking them all willy nilly. I'd take them going out with friends and family and just talk talk talk (where I normally wouldn't). I felt secure for the first time in my life, with no social anxiety whatsoever, no worries, no self-esteem issues, and no depression. Ran out in about a week or two, but it was a nice honeymoon while it lasted.

was more confused with my first drug experiences, but quickly got into them.

starting in my early teens, with alcohol i drank a few mikes lemonade fast. got a bit drunk and threw up... didn't really appreciate it, but was still entertaining... the next time i drank i think i had a few shots of whisky over about the course of an hour of so in some iced tea that tasted pretty good, and this was something i really enjoyed on weekends for a while. i'd listen to music and get really warm, get the spins, and even noticed a lot of closed eye visuals that i liked as i fell asleep with the spins. this was at a close friend's house and we were pretty good friends from playing music together.

the next i took dramamine cause a friend said it was like acid and would make me see stuff, but i didn't get it was disorienting too. i had no idea of what drugs could do and how fucked up they could get a person. i got caught by my parents tripping really hard and had no interest in doing anything that made me hallucinate for a few more years until after trying pot and getting used to that.

with pot the first time i thought it was cool as hell i was getting auditory and visual hallucinations cause me and a friend smoked like twenty bowls of some non seeded out door that was pretty good cause he wanted to give me a really strong high for the first experience... not until i got a bag of some kind bud and started smoking it before bed in smaller amounts did i really realize that i loved pot, with out being disoriented like the first experience... wouldn't really trade the first experience with smoking a ton. i just was so messed up i couldn't grasp that it was enjoyable or not.

Ecstasy, took it at a rave and it was actually the first drug id intentionally tried , other than chugging some codeine linctus when i was a teenager (Hadnt even tried weed lol)

Not took it for around 13 years now mind!

Most euphoric drug out there and will always stay as no.1 for me

Heroin, before the Canadian markets were flooded with fentanyl and cartel meth

It was legit diacetylmorphine. Insufflation produced the most intense euphoria that I didn't even know existed. I also mixed it with crushed up shards and snorted both together.

Luckily I had the sense to avoid purchasing it a 2nd time.

But I still think about it though 6 years later

Most drugs took me several tries to "get" or really develop a taste for. MXE is the exception, my first use of it was IV injection, as soon as the effects came on I was amazed and in love. Such a clean euphoria, a shift in perception where the world became a techno-futuristic video game and I was the player. I used it for about 5 years.

I was already pretty deep into drug using and had tried everything by that point so I had a very high bar for what would impress me or not - and damn did it impress me. It also is the drug that caused the most damage to my life over all of my drug use. Mind you I also used opioids for 15 years straight, crack for 3 years straight, and MXE took me down to worse places.

It was the most deceptive addiction I've ever had to a drug. I didn't even realize how addicted I was until like 8 years of being off it. Any other drug addiction was very apparent to me that it was a problem and bad for me and that I was stuck...MXE erased all that and I didn't even realize what I was doing.

Vicodin. Took it for pain relief initially but eventually it became almost an immensely warm hug of euphoria and empathy.

Amphetamine Sulphate aged 17

Didn't realise it at the time but I felt 'normal' (brain calmess / attention/ productivity-wise) for the first time ever.

And thus began a problematic stimulant addiction that plagued me for decades

EDIT mushrooms too, instantly in love, but they and the other psyches (with the notable exception of Salvia) have brought me nothing but healing and joy, basically the opposite to the stims

My first drug experience was IV morphine in the hospital. I was 11. I would push a button and a beautiful angel of a nurse would come put a morphine ampule in my IV. I didn't even know what drugs were at that age, but I recall the cold burning of the morphine traveling up my arm and loving it.

Are you doing better now with your alcoholism?
Yes! Much better.

Over the years I had several periods of sobriety ranging from a week to three years, but I always relapsed-- either because of a stressful event or sometimes for no reason at all. I always hit bottom fast, went to detox & rehab, and tried again.

I haven't had a drink in a little over two years and this time it feels different. I've simply lost the desire and don't miss anything about it.

I'm done.

(just for today, of course)
😉

Morphine sulphate

I’d done a ton of drugs. A ton of opiates. A ton of everything really.

But morphine felt vexing

Just absolutely proper and right at being itself.

I loved using morphine. It didn’t improve anything make me a better man. Nothing.

But it made me feel how I thought a person should feel when they want to wind down.

I dearly miss it.

Meeting cannabis via edibles at 13, or meeting LSD at 22. harmaline, DMT, PCP, MD(M)A, mescaline, 25C-NBOMe, and 2C-B have all also maintained their own unique "pivotal event"-ish qualities. From 22->24 though, I met every thing on that list except cannabis.

LSD - first drug I tried. Think I was 11ish. Tagged along with some friends to a Grateful Dead concert and bought 4 globe blotters. Ate them all while watching TV after I got home. Had a great time and didn’t panic once. Had an early lunch with family the next morning while still seeing tracers and minor visuals, but no one seemed to notice. In retrospect, I’m amazed I was so composed. No trip has ever matched it.

First would be weed, took some time to be able to get a high enough dose to be convinced I really had an effect worth mentioning - and then it was a lot too much. I'll never forget the small grim reaper bong - I was unable to move bc every muscle that as much as twitched, sent an electo-shock through me. It was so terrible that I didn't touch it for decades.
First drug I liked was Heroin, when I finally got a good dose iv around 19 yo. Setting was in some apartment near Frankfurt with my sister, a friend and a Portuguese junky in his 40s. I finally got why it's addictive - as it felt like everything was okay, no matter how NOT okay it might have been... I think we also smoked some crack that time. The few seconds rush didn't feel worth the price for me though. The next day punished me with severe stomach pain for hours...
First thing that really impressed me was a "ticket", blotter with LSD and who knows what (likely mdma). That was totally fascinating. I could shift the patterns flowing through the room with my fingers and the others could see that!!! The next two days though were a case of braindead - had a hard time making sense of anything I read...

Just checking, are you saying you believe there was MDMA inside of the blotter?
