What I like about the Butrans is that it is still extremely effective at the same dose as 8 years ago. I am still getting good analgesia and I am not craving full mu opioids like I used to.
Then it's likely the best you will get.
At low doses it's possible for other opioids to deal with 'breakthorugh pain' but 8 years you say? Seems like it works.
But to be clear, if onsominia bites, don't wait UNTIL you have tonic-clonic seizures. I did and spend two weeks in hospital where a consultant simply replace the buprenorphine for oxycodone. The fact they offered NO explaination does rather suggest that it's SUPPOSED to be a known side-effects,
For me, almost fatal. But one person't experiences isn't of statistical value.
