Years ago I synth'd meth from pse using red phosphorus and iodine. It was pretty easy because at the time there was a doc called "Acidmelts Slacker Synth". No real chemistry knowledge needed - if you could follow a recipe you could make meth.
Meth and mdma both have full synth'd floating around. However, I can't seem to find an equivalent for fentanyl. However, it seems like it should be possible - basically start by explaining how to make fentanyl from list I precursors, then explain how to make those precursors from OTC compounds.
So like, if you need 4-piperidone, give a method of producing that from more basic compounds. It seems like not only should this be possible, it would probably be pretty viable considering how little pure fentanyl. About 3mg of fentanyl is equivalent to about 80mg of oxycodone. 1g of pure fentanyl is 300-500 "doses", making it worth about $3000. That makes fentanyl 30 times more valuable than gold. Even an extremely inefficient and time consuming route would likely be worth doing.
Does anyone know if someone has sat down and wrote up a complete synth for laymen? Especially now that fentanyl is being adulterated with tranq and other crap, knowing how to make it, would seem to be a great skill to have. And not only could one make fentanyl, but other even more powerful opioids like:
* Etonitazene
* Isotonitazene
* Metonitazene
* Protonitazene
* Erizonitazene
Could be made from step-by-step instructions, if some Alexander Shulgin type genius sat down and simplified them.
I wish I had went to college for organic chemistry. If this knowledge was simplified and made public, it would go a long way in letting drugs win the war on drugs.
