How Much at Risk Am I for Ketamine Bladder Syndrome?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been taking ketamine daily for the past two months—100-120mg of esketamine orally (no water) each night. I plan to continue this routine for at least another 6-12 months.

When I first researched Ketamine Bladder Syndrome (KBS), I saw videos of people saying they developed it from taking 7-10g per day. Since my dose is nowhere near that, I figured I’d be safe.

Right now, I have no symptoms (no blood in urine, no frequent urination, etc.). But I want to know—am I still at risk in the long run?

A bit about me:

  • 36M, 92kg, slim/slender build
  • No history of serious health issues
  • Taking ketamine for depression
Would appreciate any insights from people with experience or knowledge on this. Thanks!

Why tho? I am interested, not trying to outright throw out of the window this idea.

I think green tea can help a bit, I have never researched it in-depth but I recall people saying green tea has some component that alleviates ketamine causticity.

I have no means to answer to your question, but raised these things to discussion.

I think it's hard to say for certain. That definitely is a low dose compared to many chronic long term users. But taking it every day, you are still very much at risk for those problems. I am not sure how the risk factor is affected by oral dosing.

If you have not read this thread from one of our users, I would check it out, as it displays some of the potential issues you can come across. A warning though, it ain't pretty and the pictures may be difficult for some. But, I think it's important to see the potential outcomes if you are a regular Ketamine user.

I know cranberry can be good for bladder issues and bladder health, juice & extract could be something to add to your regimen.
