Where to put drops?

Heyo! I'm delusional and think there's value in 5-meo-amt if you're very careful with dosing. Is it feasible to dose altoids or something less spicy? I feel if I don't, the volumetric solution will evaporate all the way and degrade or something.

You could put it on blotter and keep the sheets of blotter in the freezer like with acid.

Laying blotter is wildly difficult to do with consistency, and for a compound with a low therapeutic index such as 5-MeO-AMT, I would say that making a sheet of gel tabs, or something else that involves volumetric liquid dosing would be the wisest. Even then, getting an amber dropper and keeping it as a highly diluted liquid may be the move. If not, ordering "candy blocks" (they kind of look like legos) can provide an adequately large and porous material to absorb numerous drops of any liquid. I'd advise dissolving the 5-MeO-AMT in everclear if you can access it, as it evaporates very well. I've applied etizolam, LSD, and a handful of other drugs to candy blocks and pez blocks in the past for personal use and it's a fantastic medium in my opinion.

Yes, something like gel tabs would definitely be better. I’ve never heard of these candy blocks? Pez does seem like it would be pretty porous, though I haven’t seen those in a long time

But keeping it in alcohol in the freezer would be just as good. It will be less likely to degrade and if it’s sealed, it won’t evaporate.

This is absolutely true, an amber vial would add some protection from light degradation, but if that isn't available, wrapping a clear glass vial in tin foil can also help OP to keep some light out of the solution. I'm not 100% certain that 5-MeO-AMT is light sensitive, but the majority of tryptamines are so maybe it's a good precautionary measure.

Thanks y'all!!! I will definitely use everclear and make it probably 4ml/mg...but I don't even have time for lucy so I'll probably never get around to it.

Your solution is going to take years to degrade to the point of being unusable. This isn't something you have to worry about too much. Make sure you write us a Trip Report dude! I've never used this substance or heard too much about it.

You should be aware that if you dilute with everclear and store in a amber vial there is a possibility that some will evaporate out of the vial if you store it in a freezer. I once prepped some LSD and another chemical I can't remember now like this and stored it in my freezer inside of an amber vial with a dropper. I wrapped it in plastic and placed it inside of a green pill bottle. But I didn't get back to it until a few years later. By the time I did the majority of the liquid had managed to evaporate out and I had to put more everclear into the vial to safely dose it. It was still effective but I have no real idea how much I might have lost. I'm sure most what still in the vials but I neglected to mark the old level on the vial when I originally mixed it. There was only a little bit of liquid left in the bottom. I played it safe and filled the vials back up to nearly the top, shook well and went slow by only using one drop when I did attempt to use it. I know I tripped but I can't remember if one drop was equal to what I got out of it when it was fresh.

You got friends/relatives that like psychedelics and would have unsupervised access to your freezer? I can’t say for certain, but IMO the way you had it stored doesnt sound like it should be evaporating. I guess all pill bottles aren’t created equal, but when I moved stuff that I still had stored in my bedroom at my parents house a few years back I found the pill bottle that I had a shot of everclear stored in, and it was still full. For reference I put that pill bottle in the closet when I was 16-17, and found it when I was ~28.

Only if the vial isn’t sealed properly. This is why you should wrap the top with teflon plumbing tape.

It evaporated out of the top of the dropper. All dropper vials aren't created equal. The small ones you typically get if you buy liquid are usually like this since everyone orders the cheapos from amazon.

No one touched it. No one enters my house without me knowing. I don't have cameras or anything but I'm a bit paranoid and set traps so I know if things have been messed with when I come back. Aside from one break-in where people came in and moved shit around on purpose to let me know they'd been there no one had ever gotten in that I know about. The vial was long gone by the time that happened.

I washed it. After I re-mixed and used it up there was a little bit of liquid left in the bottom that I couldn't reach with the dropper. So I poured in some more everclear, shook it and drank it all figuring it'd be like 10 hits tops. It was much more than I bargained for and I sat up all night stuck in a loop attempting to use the computer and television. But whenever I'm tripping hard all technology I interact with starts to glitch and do stupid shit for no reason. I think it might be the same thing that happens with people that can't wear digital wrist watches. You know the people that destroy any device with a small battery in it just by touching it for awhile. Whatever is going on I know it isn't because I'm incorrectly typing because I've crashed computers and televisions simply by touching them. So I ended up spending hours that night attempting to turn on a television and stereo just because I wanted to listen to a song that was stuck in my head.

At any rate despite my attempts to seal that dropper it still managed to evaporate out. My point was if you're going to do this mark the level and check it from time to time because I've known it to happen to several people in the past. I think part of the problem is we got real Everclear here back then (190+ proof). Which isn't legal in a lot of states and I don't think it's legal in the one I reside in anymore. I want to say it was 195 proof but I'm not an alcohol expert. I just know it's high enough to substitute for gasoline in a pinch because I've seen it done. If you use 150-ish proof this is less of a problem since the alcohol is more diluted. That's my working theory anyway.

Most of those little dropper vials aren't very well sealed. The little rubber gaskets are low quality. Also freezers are basically designed to pull water out of the things you store in them. So even the smallest little break in the seal provides an exit for any kind of liquid you use. I thought I had it sealed up pretty good considering it was double sealed with plastic bags and then stored inside of a pill bottle that was also sealed. But I think I had a little desiccant packet in the bottle as well because I also stored a couple of pills and baggies of random powders/crystals in the same bottle. So that might have been the cause. It sat in there for way longer than I ever expected to keep it.
