I’m wondering if you misunderstood my oxy dose. It is 150 to 180mg per day. I was told that to convert oxy mg to morphine mg you take oxy total of 150 to 180 mgs multiply by 2 which gives you a daily compatible daily dose of morphine of 300 to 360 mgs per day. That’s more than twice the 120 mg morphine you were on for the 50ug patch. No do not use a 100ug patch if you only take that much oxy! You have to be on the equivalent of about 60mg's of morphine a day to even go on the 25ug patch. I was on 120mg's of morphine and switched to the 25ug patch then the 50ug.
So no that wouldnt be safe at all imo.

Yeah I thought maybe you didn’t notice I take it 6 times per day. I just want to be sure I am using the correct patch to still help my pain as what I’m taking currently doesn’t work very well any longer.Oh thats a horse of a different color i read it wrong. You still want to be careful with the 100ug patches though i mean it is fentanyl. Also different opiate converters give slightly different results.

How do you know if it’s “good” or not? This is one I used, others said the same.I would wait until someone posts a good opiate converstion calculator before taking the patch
Thanks for the info. Sounds like things will be ok.Hey there bud and be safe
Nr. 1 if you goinna swap the oxy for the fetanyl then it's okay even the dose and should keep you good for 72hrs.
Nr 2 I won't take them together in any dose.
Most conversation calculators give a score of 100-120mcg/hr to replace that oxy dose and funny enough come across this thread in another sub-forum
I have been using prescribed ir oxycodone 160-180mg total daily for many years for chronic nerve pain. I was recently hospitalized for a major abdominal surgery.
The pain Dr suggested I try switching from the oral ir oxycodone to a 100mcg transdermal Fentanyl patch to be changed every 72 hours. He advised it will cover the chronic pain and the residual abdominal pain while I need it. My question is will putting on a 100 mcg patch be okay and me not having to worry about any bad side effects (like respiratory). I did not understand all of what he tried to explain to me about that. Before...

Now how about that
I wonder if those patches are actually effective for more than 72 hours, since they contain more fentanyl than they release in 72 hours?Nr. 1 if you goinna swap the oxy for the fetanyl then it's okay even the dose and should keep you good for 72hrs.
