Hi all new member from uk just joined I have a very mixed opinion on recreational use I have experienced the real lows of abuse from close family dying the real destruction of dependance but I also see the real damage that government law creates especially around mushrooms I signed up as I found the mega thread on I want to try heroin for first time what that guy says is real yet ironically I found it searching information on opium yields of poppy seed pods which highlighted to me despite it being 20 years since I last took heroin addiction never ends it just gets easier…. But maybe my renewed interest is due to government policy on mushrooms as only treatment available was opioid medication which I am now reducing due to microdosing mushrooms

Welcome! So you’re finding that my pro dosing mushrooms is helpful for getting off opioids? What opioid are you on & why? Just for recreational purposes or what?

What exactly do you mean by heroin addiction never ends, it just gets easier? From what I’ve observed, it just seems to get more difficult for addicts, especially as they age, develop health issues, etc.

Hi no I quit heroin 20 years ago via methadone prescription main reason was due to a child my partner was against drugs and in no uncertain terms said if I want to be part of her life I should never touch it again however over last 4 years I had developed or worsening condition that is still un diagnosed as to cause what I can say is it’s painful I have been prescribed gabapentin and also dihydracodiene for the worst episodes I went as long as I could without these but I got to the point that I only left the house 3 times in 6 months all for hospitals neurologist appointment MRi scan etc I had read about microdosing but I had to learn how to grow from scratch and anyone who has embarked on this will know it’s not simple and there is a lot of information on cultivation of mushrooms that is so wrong to the point I’m pretty sure people are having a laugh
So now I’m weaning myself off prescription meds as microdosing accompanied with some intense doses has had a positive effect but sadly took longer to learn how to grow than to become dependent on medication
When I say that heroin addiction never ends I spent years not thinking about it yet now I do to the point I have planted bread seed poppies on an indoor grow in the hope of scraping some opium in the summer

I totally agree with your comment on addicts getting older would become harder to stop if I ever started again I would never stop again I don’t have the will to do it again

You’ve had a rough time but major respect for quitting for the loved ones in your life. That takes a lot of strength. How frustrating that you’ve now become dependent on prescription meds you legitimately need. There’s a lot of us on here like you who are chronic pain patients with physical dependence. Some of us self treat with street drugs, like myself. You definitely found the right place!

Sounds like you’re doing the best you can with the situation you find yourself in as you’re aware of your limitations and you’re trying to improve things. I hope we can support you in that. And I’m curious about how your gardening turns out. I’ve heard they’re not easy to grow.
