How do I unsubscribe from a thread?

At the top of each page, below the title of the thread, there should be two buttons, one saying "jump to new", and the other saying "watch/unwatch"... Click unwatch.

I think that's the primary way, there might be some other method I'm not thinking of. I feel like it's finicky sometimes though, and has still notified me in the past.
 
if you have more than such thread, you can go in the menu to forums > watched > whatched threads.
you get a list of all the threads you are watching and for which you are getting notifications.
you can select the ones you don't want to watch by checking tiny checkboxes and then at the botton you have an action mneu "with selected ..." where you can choose the option "unwatch"
