Heroin Issues breathing

My roa for H is via sniffing it, but my nose has been stopped up to the point of having to breath through my mouth a lot more lately.

Are there any home remedies to try to keep my nasal passages clear in between usage?

Try a neti pot. You can get them in a drug store. Basically it's just a a way to do a saline rinse. Be sure to boil the water like they say so you don't get a sinus infection and use non-iodized salt.
Also hot steamy showers can help
 
Overall it’s just going to get worse and eventually start hurting your throat and lungs also if you use heroin long term like that.


I smoked some heroin for like a week months ago and my throat and nasal passages still don’t feel rights but I’m old and have a lot of drug damage accumulated already. When I was in my 20s I could smoke everything snort everything and have no residual problems

When I was using heroin 4# daily my nose would become so congested I couldn't snort anymore. There's really no way around this but saline flushes and psuedoephedrine (there is no evidence phenylepherine is an effect decongestant) will reduce the congestion and possible damage.

Unfortunately snorting drugs long term is really punishing on the nose and just isn't sustainable long term.

I highly recommend you move over to boofing.
 
Oxymetazoline, it's addictive and shitty in its own right but works. Sudafed. Smelling essential oils and teas can help too.

I can't tell if you're being serious about boofing.

When I was younger and did a lot of coke, my dealer was a heroin addict. He told me that he would wrap it up in a small piece of paper and swallow it because his nose was shot from snorting it.

Would that work? Eating it, that is.

Never tried it but eating heroin I’ve heard doesn’t work well.

Rectal use is the most superior and safe/long term sustainable method for using opioids imo…except for some that are very orally active like oxy. But heroin isn’t that orally good I’ve heard.

That's what I had always heard but for some reason the "boofing" comment reminded me of dude telling me he ate it.

So is the high from anal ROA better? Does it last the same amount of time? Do you use the same amount as you would sniff? How exactly would you go about doing it?

It's just like morphine but much more bioavailavilty and doesn't bind to plasma proteins (more loss). The people you heard that from probably use IV and got less high than they expected, but it is honestly decently bioavailable orally. Boofing may be higher but I don't really like to recommend that, just feels a bit degrading for me. But to each his own.

Lasts less long but hits faster ive heard. lil less than youd sniff.Dissolve it in (small amt) water, suck into syringe (no needle obviously), stick it up ur ass and shoot. Take a shit first. I've heard of people getting mad cause they shit it out immediately. Waterll do that

It's probably not worth mentioning here but there isn't enough quality evidence showing phenylephrine is any better then placebo as a decongestant.

This 2023 review states: "We can conclude that oral phenylephrine is not different from placebo in relieving nasal congestion, as measured by NAR. This implies that the OTC use of phenylephrine for nasal congestion may not be supported by strong evidence."

I got addicted to dristan nasal spray back before we had the net or rather modern internet so i couldnt look up to see if it was addictive. I developed it after having a cold and my parents wherent worried about giving it to me since it was over the counter so how could it be harmful?

I've been hooked on daily decongestant nasal sprays (oxymetazoline and phenylephrine) for over a decade.

I started using decongestant nasal sprays because I had a focalin/ritalin script and was snorting the pills daily (yes, not good to snort pills). I had to use a decongestant nasal spray because the pills would clog my nose. I stopped snorting focalin over a decade ago, but I've been stuck using nasal sprays ever since.
