What do you want played at your funeral?

to say the least :)

it's absolutely beautiful to me and i love the journey. the first time i heard it, i got to the tumultuous end and was asking myself how the hell did we get to here from where we started :)

Definitely including something like this.

pictured 1-st the sad song with video,
that ends in a laughable anti climax.
Then some Dance-able vocal free track.
Maybe they ll wanna dance ?

seems like a little deal, better comfort.

End with what they choose, to end it.

this kid i posted on a local massachusetts board with OD'd or commit suicide. his mother's page said he commit suicide, his brother's page said he OD'd on heroin, but this was the memorial song for him.. the kid that played it was supposedly tripping were the rumours on the board. must've been pretty intense. i think they were in bands together.



this is my favorite song of any genre and for the guitar.. pretty much my over all favorite thing. seems like i like it so much that maybe it should be played at my funeral, but i dunno if i'm gonna have too many people going to my funeral if i even have one...




i used to talk about ridiculous funeral situations in high school before the cartoon family guy had peter's dream funeral with all the clowns and hoola dancers.

Was reading the thread, immediately thought of this track ( the vocals sum it up ) - if I died there and then and could choose a tune for my funeral then this would be it.

I would insist however, that the sound system needs to be "stacked" too.

Maybe he committed suicide via a deliberate heroin OD?
 
I would say I want this one BUT I am going up in smoke .... So I will have to look for one with fire.

Anybody have one ???

So I won't be getting buried anytime too soon.

yeah... maybe no one knew on the site we were posting on... his family and people that knew him close kept it secret for a while, and a few years later it looked like his mother came out saying one thing and his brother saying the other... maybe it was unclear and his bro thought it was an overdose, but his mother felt like it was a suicide.. not too sure, but he was a cool musician. i was talking to him online and he was answering me questions about what notes certain music was in like a couple weeks before it happened. i didn't know him IRL, but i was on the same sites as him for years.
 


The first song here is already on my list.

I used to live in Zim, and this tune never fails to elicit an overwhelming sense of joy and hopefulness in me, whatever the degree of rinsing (which I don't do, like most songs I have some kind of sacred reverence for). It's a literal rush of euphoria, every time. Quite amazing, like a tolerance-free drug.
