Trigger Warning Why are white people in the U.S. not called "European Americans"?

Got to watch the movies teachers again.

Is this the one ?

Is it like a funny version of ' The Principle ' ?

It was made in 1984 I believe and has among other Nick Nolte, Ralph Macchio, Judd Hirsh, JoBeth Williams, Morgan Freeman, Laura Dern, Crispin Glover and Richard Mulligan( who was great, nearly stole the movie imo).

It was a comedy, with a message. Yeah, it was a little melodramatic at times but overall hilarious and ended with Bob Seger's song Understanding( one of my favorites)( not sure if he wrote it or not).

A great movie and free on The Internet Archives

One problem, the majority of the people in those six counties want to be part of the UK.
Communists don't believe in democracy. Well they may try to use it to get into power and then the brutal repressive dictatorship begins.

Since when? The Unionist vote is pretty low these days. Also brexit essentially put the border in the sea anyway

The Irish times reported a nearly 2 to one in favor of staying of staying in the UK and majority rule. Not who screams the loudest.
That's one of Amerca's biggest problems.

And why Trump won and so did the Republicans who took both houses. That's another problem, the democrats lost touch with the average working person. Stop with the bs. Go to North Korea, oh that's right their form of communism is nationalistic. China's is capitalistic authoritarianism.

Thats funny because most polls show most want to leave the UK.

As for America i could give a fuck what you cunts do as long as you only do it to yourselves.

Pretty please with sugar on top; go spread your lies and mountains of bullshit somewhere else. OK comrade( and yes I meant that as sarcastically as humanly possible; the comrade part)

[CC: @Jnowhere as any time I ask a question about the U.S. he takes great personal offense, even when it's objectively not a criticism...also added a trigger warning]

So, like, the way black people are African-American, Asians are Asian-American etc. Why are white people not European-American? Like, if everyone else has the continent their ancestors ostensibly originated from?
Well, I won't pretend to know *why* something is, but, while the term European-American isn't really common; things like Irish-American, Italian-American, etc. are in use.

Idk why the nominal difference in the nomenclature with specific countries being hyphenated with European countries, but Asians, Africans, Latinos, -being more of an umbrella term. But, I would put money on that linguistic distinction being a result of a more Eurocentric worldview in the states.

i think the country-specification is used for first to third generation immigrants whenre they know where they actually come from and not much is mixed yet. while the african-american or asian-american is really used as an umbrella term based on physiognomies attributed to those continents.

now i, who has never met a native from hawaii, would probably check the "asian-american" box in a multiple choice next to their picture. which would be wrong. this because it just occurred to me while writing the first part.

Hawaiians count as pacific islanders I think, maybe not tho

I think because the U.S. was founded by whites is why whites that came here afterwards were/are called Irish-Americans and so on, and people that are descendants of the original founding stock from the 1600's-1700's that created the U.S. would just be Americans, and not European Americans

Unlike you ( forget politics) I actually do care about others and other countries including your's ( Canada)It pains me to see others regardless of their national origin suffer and I do give a fuck about others. Call me what you will but I would never seriously call the people in your country as a whole" cunts"( no pun intended, although 🤣)

But that last statement you made says more than about you than anything I or anyone else could write/name calling bs, about you.

This just shows more clearly the mentality you hold towards stangers/ foreigners. Compassion or empathy towards others or lack there of; shows as plain as day your mentality towards humanity as a whole.

Maybe it is time for a self reexamination of what you believe ( not even politically) but just as a human being.

Then there were those tragic 😥 wild fires of the summer of 2023( starting in the spring and as of Oct 6, 2023 about 185,000 square km or over 71, 000 square miles or roughly 5% of your beautiful countries forests burned.

As someone who lives in the metro Detroit area, North of the Windsor Ontario/Detroit international boarder crossings. I could see the haze of the fires and even smell them depending on where I drove.

Granted areas in the Midwest( especially Illinois and other states) other than Michigan were more affected by this and the Northwest of course and other areas of America. But what do you care?

Well you should because the Trudeau regime took this as an opportunity to pass, The Online News act. Which the Meta news group who controls Facebook was happy to comply with.

Which meant that most or much outside media was banned in Canada and not just Facebook: Which many Canadians used to communicate in " media barren" areas during the wildfires. This also gave the government even more control of the news. Controlling what Candians hear, see and read on an unprecedented level in your country in modern times.

Then of course there is Alberta. I am man enough to admit I was wrong and ignorant of the truth. I don't watch television, just movies.

People on Bluelight such as Landrew and Arrall opened my eyes to what I thought was just hysterical bs that we get constantly here in America. Oh no, I was very wrong. Yes I am talking about Alberta. I will come to later.

The ridiculous lock downs during Covid, freezing bank accounts, firing government employees who didn't walk in lock step with Trudeau, harassing protestors and journalists. Imprisoning Christian Ministers who keep their churches open; while violent criminals, violent sex predators including pedophiles went free, criminals who had been arrested for real crimes well over 100 times went free.

Trudeau like any wannabe tyrant went after peaceful political dissenting protesters, journalists and anyone with the balls to against him or his regemine.
Then the state control over the media,( do I even have to explain that one in great detail)

Then there is Alberta that seems to care more about protecting statues of its enemy and the enemy of all mankind( at the time) than it's people. The Nazi's and the worst of them the SS, whose evil beyond belief, minds who thought up and enacted' The Final solution' aka the Holocaust!

Then the people who are followed and harassed. Journalists and ffs their families including small children.
No wonder Canadians have bitched about the police. Because their tax dollars( some of highest taxes in the world) are spent protecting Statues and monuments to the most evil bastards ever to walk the earth. Then to harass journalists and their families. Also any of those who dare speak up.

But I care about them, even if they could give 2 shits about me. I have been trying and slowly becoming a better person.( less of an asshole and genuine decent human being) But after reading that last part of what you wrote, I can only hope and pray that you will some day at least try to do the same. Rant over.

That wasn't really about politics, it was about empathy and not hating people, and not treating entire groups, regarding entire populations or it 's countries people as whole as garbage.

Pacific Islander; Polynesian, there's a distinction between that and Asian-American in the census I believe? Although yeah "Asian-American" could mean basically anything.
