Why is codeine even considered a painkiller? It’s completely different from oxy and in my case the side effects are even worse. Nausea, confusion, and labored breathing on 60mg. I have taken 60 mg of Oxy over the course of a day with no side effects as horrific as codeine. Maybe it’s just how people are wired I don’t know. These docs all act like codeine is a safer pain reliever but I call bullshit. Doesn’t even do anything for pain and horrible side effects.

Sounds like you could have a codeine allergy. You shouldnt get fucked up breathing for only 60mg's of codeine. I find codeine to be great for mild to moderte pain and i dont get that many side effects from low to mid doses.

I prefer Codeine to Hydrocodone if I can take enough to get high without there being too much acetaminophen. Better legs, better high. I have a low opioid tolerance and my opinion is common amongst folks like me. 60mg would be a nice buzz but nothing to write home about. I get the impression that there are side effects but that they usually start way higher in dose.

It is a painkiller because codeine has mor affinity (low) but it changes into morphine in your body ,mor affinity STRONG.
I Remember times when 60mg completely relaxed my body but Now i prefer tramadol over any other opioid/opiate.
