Rebound insomnia from 6 days zopiclone?

Hi all,
Long time no post. Long sorry short, over 6 days I went through 9 x 7.5mg zopiclone tablets to get some sleep during some major stressors. Now all is good, I've stopped taking them but last night was night 1 no zopiclone and I felt like I got zero sleep. Am I in for awful rebound insomnia? 6 days feels like a very short time. Many years ago I was given a 2 week supply of zopiclone from the GP and I remember taking it every day for 2 weeks without issues.

Anyone with experience on this, please advice. I feel like I'm going mad.

i’ve had rebound insomnia from 10-20mg of ambien for a couple weeks and i’d say it was fairly mild and lasted a few days at the very most. really the fact that you can get any sleep at all is a good sign that your problems aren’t so severe

Well I'm convinced I got no sleep. Just felt like I laid there with my eyes closed. I just hope I ain't screwed myself.

What's worse - I'm 6 hours from home after getting on the sesh with a mate all last night, realised I bought no landing gear - so I can't even drift off after being up all night despite being hanging.

I hope so. I have no other symptoms apart from not sleeping. It hasn't helped that I've read absolute horror stories this morn about zopiclone rebound but this does seem to be from long term use.

Just as an aside, how do you deal with that metallic taste? i've strips laying round but i would never touch them due to the taste, i hardly sleep off them and when i wake in the middle of the night i can't drift off again due to that taste.

On your question, i reckon you will be fine after 2-3 days max.
Get some dph in.
