Ambien and Xanax together?

I feel like I asked something similar in the past so sorry if I did. Can I take 20mg Ambien 2 hours after taking 2mg Xanax? Very big benzo tolerance, and usually take 20mg Ambien at night, is it ok though to take both that close together?

Yup, it's not gonna hurt you. There isn't a glaring issue of safety here. I do want you to be thinking about the long-term issues that you could face by continuing to build your tolerance. For your own sake, try your best to take as little as you can get by with. Z-drugs and Benzodiazepines are significantly cross-tolerant to each other. This means that your Benzodiazepine tolerance is likely to make your Z-drug less effective and vice versa as time goes on.
