Disappointment is a dish best served cold that's my motto.

I've been invited to a Dungeons and Dragons game next week and have to create a character. I'm thinking a psychedelic wizard called Lord Sky Diamond and in order to fully immerse myself in the role I will of course be dropping acid before I go.

Should be fun!

I play a D&D game semi-weekly. Usually, I just have a few drinks and flirt with the waitress. The game is all combat and not a lot of RP. Maybe I should just drop acid and come weird next time. 2CB might be better… Hmm 🤨

2C-B is also an option but I can't think of a funny character name to go with that one. I've always liked the idea of D&D but didn't know anyone who played and I wouldn't enjoy playing with strangers for various reasons. Consequently this will only be the second time I've played.

We're doing it in person so no need for Internet or computers. Usually it would just be pen and paper 80s style but I think we're using the app instead?

I phrase that as a question because I actuallly have no idea what I'm doing. Im just going to turn up up high and hope that everything falls into place anon.

thanks. i wasn't sure because i remember people playing it with board, pen and paper, but then i know there's also a computer game or even an app. those seem to be more shooter games then role playing.

There are a lot of videogames and spin offs but old school pen and paper D&D with a 12 sided di seems to be more popular than ever. I blame Stranger Things.

D&D is pretty fun. It's fairly intuitive, as long as the DM and other players you are gaming with are knowledgeable enough, you'll catch on pretty easily. Building the character is fun.

Apparently owing to the nature of the campaign I have to play as myself and there's already a wizard so alas that'll be it for Lord Sky Diamond. Barely knew ya. I've decided to take 2C-B instead to reflect the change in character.

I feel like a 2c-B trip would be way more manageable lol.

I'm gonna hit an edm show in DC this weekend, I've got some 2c-b and 4acodmt I think ill take both, its a great combo for me
